Do you like max pty members?

Do you like, there is max ammount of party members of 5?
(Just a question, nothing more)

It feels a bit small, but since one character can be like 3 or 4 different classes at once, it might not be so bad.

Well there are 80 classes and you can have 5 in a pty…

You can have 5 members? I thought only 4 :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
I think 5 members are Okay :slight_smile: It’s enough to have a strong team

I think it was stated somewhere that 5 is not a final number. This limit is for CBT and is subject to change af far as I understand.

I’d personally prefer fewer people in party so it was easier to communicate with every party member. Also it looks easier to take some meaningful actions when party is small. I know well that pain when you can’t even finish casting your spells and all mobs are dead coz 10+ people were attacking them…

Okay then, maybe I’ve worried unnecessairly

@Mephilin Well I will be happy when there will be more max… Don’t worry, it won’t be like RO. You can spell even w/o full load.

Comparing other multiplayer games is not a strange number at least

Diablo 3 = 4
LoL / HotS / most MOBAS = 5
GW2 = 5
FFXIV = 4
WoW = 5 (40 for raid groups)
RO = 12

I don’t mind if there is a limit though, cos to coordinate more than 5 people you’ll most likely need an external voice chat app. I think that the limit is more of a balancing decision than any other thing…

Well you know Centaur Class? (Atleast I think it’s that) It can make party formation, and it has about 10 positions.

Not Centaur, but Centurion. :slight_smile:
At first, I also thought there will be 10 party members based on this
But when I think more about it, 5 is enough for now.

It’s fine, and fairly typical, but I hope they add an alliance feature for GvG.

For a party, yes. Not sure if ToS has a raid feature for larger amounts of players.

@Erokhi :'D lol Centaur :smiley: Oh thanks for info. Well 5 is good, but I’ve been accustomed to RO’s 12, so it seemed so little.

@Addiktion @Sourpuss Okay then :smile:

5ppl sounds cozy =P
fine by me.

5 seems okay, 4 players in a party are often the limit of most mmos i know

I like bigger parties, thats what attracted me to RO, well they could survive with smaller party but then you would end up power leveling slower…

Sorry for mentioning RO but I remember the days when I still played the game and there wasn’t so many bots around, I often came across other strangers and join them in a party, then the party kept getting bigger and bigger, especially on stronger / harder maps. A bigger party wasn’t necessary better for leveling or farming item or anything except for THE FUN of it! It was SO MUCH FUN and IMMERSIVE marching with dozen of just met strangers throughout a map filled of extremely strong monsters! It was a bond between many people without the need of any word! For all these years, I never forget that feeling and still constantly trying to seek it in another MMO but yet to find any game that can come close. And also there were days when fighting a boss in the game could take a whole guild of dozens of high level players. Even if there are a lot of tanks and you are just a random passenger spectating from far away, you can still be killed, monsters were insane strong, boss fights were so intense. I believe no quest, no story, no content in a MMO can make me feel more epic than these things. So using RO as an example, in my opinion if there is no game breaking problem for having a big party max size like that then I hope we can go with it and have some arenas of extremely strong monsters and bosses that require those parties in full. And these arenas are not only end maps / dungeons but some of them will also block ways to other arenas / cities so that people will have to come together if they want to travel to these places. Strangers coming together temporary just to overcome something then part way is a great aspect of adventures for me.

Actually I am always more of a solo player (very social awkwardly even on the Internet :pensive: ) but even I love these kinds of things! Or maybe I love these kinds of things because they force me to interact with other people in such a fun and natural way which I rarely have. :smile:

TL;DR: Bigger party size (dozen+) with extremely strong monsters / bosses in some map that only these parties in full can handle.

5 is a nice number for balancing. I’m fine with this number as it stands, I just hope it increases in later patches when the games properly balanced. I feel more at the moment might be able to cheese bosses anyway, 5 sounds good to keep the PvE side a bit challenging.

I like 8, it fits for raid bosses and farming in dungeon

Bigger party, with larger range of shared EXP!!! :heart: :heart_eyes:

With this, this game became the most awesome game ever made by humans hands!

Thats all!

I’m all for a large party. I would love to be in a group of say 12 people and we are grinding at 3 different spots in the same map and throwing experience at one another. Hahaha!

Oh gosh, I got so excited from the thought of that.
