Do You Know What This Game Really Need?!?

I haven’t seen a topic like this yet,

But I think this game need some good ol Role Playing
Beside the all bugs, issues, and complicated debates in this game. I feel like people are losing the essence of RPG. I’m so bored of Grinding, Solo questing, and repetitive boss rush/hunt.

This game needs more world events and in-game interaction – that allow player to participant in fun mini-game or activity together.

I’ve seen a few puzzles in the game, like the one in nevellet quarry 2f to get into the secret grinding spot.

There’s also the light farming function in the guild hangout
We need more of this kind stuff.

Example;
Weekly events at certain time just like the guild event icon in town

Housing? The team lobby is so plain and boring! Should let us personally design our lobby like animal crossing style – and we can visit each other unique lobby and leave notes for each other.

Funny pets command, auto-pet chat AI, and more decent pet design pets. Hoglan are not kawaii at all.

Fishing and Cooking – all the random useless stuff in this like strawberry, and meat will have a purpose to make food that will give a small buff.

Ok now see this is starting to sound like some other non-Korean RPG games, but then again that’s the essence of role playing.

I don’t know, I feel like roleplaying will keep player hanging around and prevent player from being insanely bored out of their mind.

What other in-game activity or interaction you’d like to see in ToS? But most likely will never ever happen.

Illegal pet battle? Open world pvp? prostitution subclass?

But I already roleplay as a forum troll here on the forums when I’m really a nice, sensitive and caring person :stuck_out_tongue:

But seriously, yeah, this game needs more SOCIAL interaction for sure. Currently there’s like zero incentive to socialize at all and the chat filter system in this game is like a horror story trying to deal with. Every time I try to type something in it I feel like I’m running from Jason who’s chasing me with a chainsaw and, if I type something wrong, he kills the WHOLE message.

I literally don’t like talking to people in the game mostly because of that chat filter.

I’m not against more “content” but only after the servers stop dying/getting hiccups regulary after each new “fix”.

Lol I almost never chat - i use the in-game emoji to express my message.
this game needs more emoji as well like the one from Ragnarok or on snap chat. I need them eggplants emoji!

I roleplay as a white knight

this game needs to realize that its a mmo and stop being a solo linear grind journey with limited player interactions

should i start a flanflan self-proclaims they are a troll collection too

Please and thank you

Fishing, cooking, and more jobs…
Customization on character clothes(add/remove a cape, maybe colors)
More side quests(+ fun, - grind)
Less untradable items
Server improvements
Less white knights on the community

edit: and players drawings and fanarts on the loading screens

God yes, give me social interaction… I mean it’s not completely void, but there’s very little reason to talk to anyone below level 200 besides dungeons and missions.

I’ll say this again, the game needs a social area where people just naturally gravitate to for whatever reason. Something that’s just to goof off with that appeals to many people, like RO’s South Prontera and dead branches that spawned random monsters, or Wakfu’s docks with PvP. Of course unique to the game, not a carbon copy. I’m not even sure where a central point would be good considering the maps layouts do not put a mass of people in one area that are levels 1-280 besides the cities which, are mostly people passing through or like whores.

This would bring role play, because people would have a chance to share ideas; form groups. Drama, which as I said in another thread, makes MMOs feel alive - guild, social, relationship, you name it. The best MMOs foster these things because they feel like a part of the game.

Just blah. Give me.

Yeah…the game needs a social hang out zone… but that depends on the community…if the game has a toxic community u probably wont get much out of it…and these days you rarely find games that combines a balance between grind and promotes social interaction… especially these type of genre and community nowadays…

Usually the best way to kick start this type of events is to implement a gather zone where people with same interest gather together to have fun/troll…such as a open world free arena…(u get random drama to along the way especially when someone starts to berate each other)Flyff was one example…

Or maybe create a a meet and greet session such as a gm event where people can gather and have fun…(though at this point of time it will probably turn into a backlash judging with the amount of topics regarding the management of iToS)

Ahh… i miss my role playing days…

You can role play as a forum troll…?

Teach me master the way to talt

It’s really hard to judge the community in game compared to the community on the forums. Much less people on the forums comparatively, lots of people actually avoid here or don’t even know about it, blah blah blah. Every MMO I’ve played the forum community tends to be quite different.

I will say for now this games most entertaining social aspect is the forums. x’3

You speak the truth. I haven’t had this much fun on a game forum in a long time lol.

The reason you rarely see topic like this is because most of them are busy flaming each other to ashes with their “religious” ideals to the point of no return.

Its good that you asked.

Most of us…and i cant say im not included in that list…felt kinda bit betrayed by how IMC took so long to address the situation and remained silent… a whole solid 2 months…esp those who spend on all their founders package even after the reduction of price…

It’s far easier to write why something is terrible than why it’s good…

And yeah… [quote=“FlanFlan, post:16, topic:289097”]

Im enjoying this way more than playing the game lol…

I haven’t had such fun after leaving barrens chat in WoW

It’s the lack of moderation.

Pros:
Hilarious posts.
Many adulterated GIFs.
I have to admit I enjoy watching certain people argue.
Unabashed opinions, which, can be a good thing.

Cons:
The same topics over and over and over and over and over and overoveroejrbber…
Negativity always seems to speak louder and more than positivity. Positivity usually doesn’t want to beat a dead horse with a stick.
Toxicity as the7crowmisfits mentioned. I’ve never seen a more openly racist (among other things) community than when this game first launched, and we had a bit more moderation then. Julie was still afloat.

I’m too lazy to think of more but these spring to mind immediately.

I mean FFXIV lead game designer Yoshi has frequent interviews and press releases to keep the gamers up to date with everything going on.

It is very important that a company keeps their gamers informed, of course they don’t have to release every detail that would be bad but they still have to say things.

And when a game has a rough launch with lots of bugs and other issues it becomes significantly MORE important to communicate with the gamers if you care even a LITTLE about player retention and potential profit.

The arguing that goes down here is pretty top quality stuff. It isn’t like watching two 10 year olds yell at each other like complete retards, no, it’s two adults having a troll war with each other and I’m literally sitting in my chair like this reading it all:
