so i want to make a monk, and what i noticed is that most monks take priest, but i really don’t like priests, i don’t like having to buy the utility for the skills, is it okay if i build a monk with cleric c2 krivis c2? or krivis c3 monk?
or if there’s any other monk build, that doesn’t involve a priest?
or do i ahve to go priest to be effective in pvp? im thinking divine stigma’s str buff might be good
and what are the best stats for monk pvp?
have you even think about revive? they are useful for in pvp given you only can ress ONCE, but no you dont HAVE to go priest to be good monk there alot path you can go

yea but which is better, str or dex? con ofc its obvious probably around 100 con
for pvp, most people had told me that 100 or 120 dex is enough and rest to str
im thinking maybe high dex with 100-120 con might be better if i go krivis c3 because zalcai gives 200 critical attack with max attribute and divine stigma gives 78 str which means 78 more critical attack
zalcai’s attribute cost is 600k for lvl 100, so its not even expensive im thinking that this build can legit be good
that issue with divine stigma, you have to kill someone to get that effect, and i am not even sure if divine stigma work in pvp because no one tried to given they would get attacked if they tried to. Also you wont ALWAYS crit…
what if i go cleric c2 diev c2 monk? is that good?
yea it can work, I have seem some monk go path
cleric 2 diev 2 monk is a pretty solid build as well. Laima + Energy Blast or Carve World Tree + Double Punch spam are nice “combos” to have.
Carve Attack is also nice for single targets (mostly bosses).
I also have a bokor monk but from bokor you’ll only be using bwa kaymian and/or mackangal (and the zombies, ofc).
will not taking priest reduce my pvp performance?
people already said diev 2 is a good alternate. it decreases your CD, allows passive damage from owl and AoE slow and silence debuffs from statues.
cleric2diev2monk3 is another really common monk build, and is effective in pvp and pve, preist monk is only if u wan to support
i believe being a cleric c2 with the heal tiles it’ll be alright as support, but generally i want to be effective in pvp
im thinking of rank 8 inquisitor will have great synergy with monk, not sure how it is in pvp though.
Unless ofc the rumors are right and there is a hidden monk advancement, but i doubt it.
Priest is taken because with at least c2 priest you are wanted in exp-parties as a support role, that can also periodically shoot lazers. I liked levelling with priest-monks. Other monks… not so much. Plus, with priest you are OP in pvp as well because of revive/resurrect + some buffs. But in GvG Diev2-Monk will probably shine more, I think. Will be able to tell when Inquisitor is out.
Both c2-pri2 and c1-pri3 has their advantages.
Priest is a good class for going Monk because it has many skills that work perfectly without any stats in INT/SPR. You can boost your own damage. You can support on top while doing good damage.
Krivis on the other hand is pretty bad without INT/SPR. You won’t even have many buffs so even Daino isn’t needed. You won’t benefit much from it as Monk either.
Diev / Cleric2 are however possible alternatives.
But if you only don’t get Priest because it needs ingredients, think again. The costs might be harsh at first but later into the game a single mob gives more silver than those items cost.
As others have suggested, picking Diev instead of Priest is a viable alternative.
Priests just seems the most optimal though in terms of improving your monk skills further, but Diev has its advantages too (e.g. group PVP, grinding, etc.) though other non-monk builds that has Diev3 will be better.
Having someone in the party who can resu is always nice.
If you go high dex, boost your dex with Monstrance.
cleric 2 is alright as support, bcuzs its needed to actually heal, ur gonna be a cleric, u gottz heal or ese ppl will get mad at u
the cost itself is not that harsh the buff time is bad, i mean 60s on a bless where u can buy from pardoners a better one with more time (1:30h) is harsh
