That is not how Deeds of Valor works. It is terrible.
Deeds of Valor is an amazing buff. It works off a percentage so the gain will always be relevant. We know how it works, you start with 1 stack that increases atk and aspd by +10% and reduces def by 10%. Stacks are gained through being hit while the buff is active. Even the base 10% increase when activated is very nice as it immediately outshines Concentration and Gung Ho combined. The fact at rank 1 you can get 5 stacks is great. Remember, multi-hits from bosses are your friends

DOV only give you 50% dmg from your base damage
its not 50% addition atk dmg from skill
its really good buff but its not a magic skill thats double your damage
Do I think you’re making up having literally 2,000 STR? Yes. Yes I do.
Well I just tested this out for myself and these are the numbers I came up with. Keep in mind they were all done to the same monster type, no buffs, and no critical hits. Spear Lunge debuff was not active before attacking.
Auto-atk
DoV Lv0: 689
DoV Lv5: 1107
Pierce
DoV Lv0: 2628
DoV Lv5: 3853
Spear lunge
DoV Lv0: 954
DoV Lv5: 1326

So from my test, clearly you’re wrong as it scales perfectly DoV Lv5’s 50% atk boost. I could go through every skill I have, but it’s clear from these that auto-atk, 1-hit skills, and multi-hit skills all have their damage increased by the appropriate amount of stacks on DoV.
I’m a sword 2 > hop 2 > cors 2 right now, and i want to go Shinobi.

Lets try with cyclone lv10 dmg

Dmg = <[(p.dmg + base skill dmg)*1.5+crit atk if crit]*dmg mod>*armor effect
Well from there my atk is 1000-1200 so lets say 1100 my crit atk is 725
Dmg from cyclone lv10 is 1355 my mod is 50 and attk on cloth armor
=[(1100+1355)*1.5]*1.5=5523 dmg
If crit
=<{[(1100+1355)*1.5]+725}>1.5>1.5=9916 dmg
Lets say i use dov lv 5 = base dmg 1100*150% = 1650 base dmg
Dmg =[(1650+1355)*1.5]*1.5=6761 dmg
If crit
=<{[(1650+1355)*1.5]+725}>1.5>1.5=11773 dmg
Its work like this its no way in hell thats it add for last dmg
The dmg thats your show looks almost double due to the little base skill dmg
and i guess its used on leather armor too(the more damage multiply you have,more important of your base damage)
Dov is really good skill on multihit skill if you used its on stabbing its almost db the damage (due to low base skill dmg)
My dmg equation may not 100% correct since i forget the dmg mod or armor type come first but its should work like this
I can calculate your said dmg id you give me informatiom about skill you use, base dmg etc

Not sure since i never play shinobi
But your build into shinobi is one of the best burst dmg sword build
So if its burst your build is should be better (kunai+clone is devastrate burst dmg)
But doppel give you more sustain damge (dov,cyclone)
Up to you liking (for me dpe is too good to skip if you use in mission XD)

Well i alrdy type how skill dmag is calculate
Your hexen seem to improve alot since its low base skill dmg and got alot dmg mod in them (spear lunge,leather armor,crit)
But i doubt its improve to 50% as your claim
(Give me you dmg mod, base dmg,armor type, and i will try calculate for certain improve of dps)
please dont spread false information with Dov boosting all damage to 50% since you will make new player confuse

well its still lack crit dmg, element dmg but i will just make briefly calculate
lets say your damage is 920 crit dmg is 500
do note thats i not sure if hexen include sec p.dmg to formula or not
DOV lv0 base damage 920
<[(920+537)*1.5+500]*1.3(atkmod)>*1.5(leather armor)]*1.5(spear lunge)
= 7855 dmg
DOV lv5 base damage 1380
<[(1380+537)*1.5+500]*1.3(atkmod)>*1.5(leather armor)]*1.5(spear lunge)
= 9873 dmg
its around 20.4% improve damage
dmg may seem low than ingame since i dont include bonus size damage from spear and element dmg

pls test it with a broken weapon, with no gear. because you used a spear, the damage done is variable. It cannot conclude if it really does increased your damage by a whole 50% or not. that is the only hole i see (can’t test, i dont have dopple, but i also want to make a doppel hehe)
hmm if its add damage from second weap its huge improve for skill dmg
i will cut out elemental damage and bonus damage since its not scale to DOV buff
calculate again orz base damage is 1830 then
DOV lv 0 base damage 1830
=<{(1830+537)1.5+427]*1.3>1.51.5 =11634
DOV lv 10 base damage 2745
=<{(2745+537)1.5+427]*1.3>1.51.5 =15648
if its like this its improve for 25.6%
but at this formula i start to think thats hexen not include secondary weapon damage though can you test for me with equip and unequip second weapon? ( i dont have corsair2 only corsair1 now)
