repeatable quests are alright, i think the way they made the mining village quest cap at 5 or 10 repeats is good. (i’d appreciate a higher cap maybe), but i could grind there for a few levels and when ive exhausted my quest limit, i’ll have to move on.
daily quests are good and bad. The whole mandatory part can easily be corrected by making the quest tailored to your character.
there are two parts to this:
-
the quest objective , usually a ’ Kill Y monster X times’ should be partly chosen by the player. for example, at any given lvl range (ex: lvl 10-20), the player will be given a choice between 3 monsters around their level ( weaker/medium/tougher) as to tailor to the difficulty that they like and so should cater to a wider range of builds
-
the quest reward shouldnt be anything collectible that would prompt a player to make it a chore. a small amount of exp cards and a stack of (random) potions should be fine.
the reasoning behind this daily is that it should only be there as an bonus to grinding, and also since there is a range of targets, it wont be restrictive and force you to camp at a specific map ( much)
