I need help to make new char,is between Hoplite or Barbarian.Who has better damage in aoe ? and in single target? and burst damage? if you can explain me detaills about this class for understand a few.(sorry bad english)
Swordman > Highlander > Barbarian C3 > Doppelsoeldner (?)
Swordman > Peltasta > Hoplite C3 > Doppelsoeldner or Cataphract (?)

Nobody feels like it, that’s all.
I’m not super experienced or anything. But it feels like hoplites have the tankiness and on top of that very sustained DPS with stabbing (if you’re going PVE), and the boss buster Pierce. On top of that, Finestra is just such an amazing skill. The majority of hoplites skill are very useful either in PVP or PVE. And in hoplite’s circle 2 and 3 there are some amazing PVP skills.
On the other hand, barbarians have some crazy burst with 15 points into Cleave, Seism, Frenzy, Helm chopper. Most of them have Overheat also. On top of that the amazing Two-handed sword mastery from highlander. Oh and have you seen Warcry? That skill looks insane, AoE def reduction and you gain attack from the amount of def reduced, and check out all 3 attributes for Warcry, pretty epic. I don’t see barbs as good in PVP has hoplites though.
I guess in the end I’m not really helpful because it comes down to play style. Hoplites are more single DPS (though you could technically mob the entire map with 5 points into Swash Buckling), and Barbs are definitely your AoE bursty dude though 10 points into Frenzy makes them insanely strong with autoattacks and synergize well with Deeds of Valor from Doppel. If you want to be more useful in PVP I guess you could go with hoplite, though I’m not sure how good they are later on when mobbing. Barb for more PVE oriented play styles and with a good team if you could catch someone in PVP you could 2 shot someone.
