[DISCUSSION] Guild Limit

As my first ever discussion created…I wouldn’t love it to be about this. Now, I’ve heard the guild limit isn’t necessarily beneficial to those guilds that has been in the making since the beginning of the forums. Templar’s ‘Increase Max Members’ goes up to 10 and that allows only an extra +10 members for an original amount of 25. Also, I may got this wrong, but I heard the original count is going to be 20? Either way, my opinion is that it should be increased. Not necessarily the starting number, but the numbers of every +1 to Templar’s perk. +5, +10, or even +3. Those guilds who have 40+ need them numbers because why should we break up our members into different guild parts and not include them. Of course, this is an opinion so I can stay with my people in Crimson Knights. New guilds in the making who can settle with 35 is fine with me, but the others who set their limit to 45…well, do you want to cut off your members?

im not against the base value being 20-25, but the max possible being 35 feels alittle on the low side, then again we dont know what c2 and 3 Templar will bring, its not out of the question that the member or guild skill levels increase with higher circles

I see your point. I’m merely speaking for what we have available now. I believe 50 or 60 should be max if this the result of the perk. We could wait for the rank 8 to come around and hope it increases further, but who knows IMC’s plans on when they will release it and if they will do just that? I can just hope they look at this and work something out for those in starting big guilds.

either that or a really solid Alliance system

Yeah. An Alliance system would be nice, and if that happened I’d like that to be something between Templars. For those who are dedicating towards Templar can create alliances from either c2 or c3.

i think the limit is there so we can have more templars, if the limit is like 100, we need 1 templar/100players. but if the limit is 25 we can have 4 templars/100players. this way more ppl can be templars. to fix this they could make an alliance system, like 4 guilds alliance (100 players) and we have a guild chat and an alliance chat
but i like big guilds (or big alliances) so 4 guild is a low number, would be nice to have like 1k+ players alliance

I think alliance system is good on Templar C2

Maybe they could make Templar c2 have a skill that can combine guild with another Templar

I like the low count. Quality over quantity in your members becomes more important.

Allow 10 more for each templar in the guild.

really good idea, it could come with some skills that help the guild u are in, not only the one u are leader

Yup I was looking at around 80 people to start and now were cutting down.

Honestly though im fine with it. The reality is that GvG in most games is a huge zergfest and fps drain and a limit of 40 means im probably bringing 25-35 to a fight which is still alot in this game.

Thats just my thought as a GvG guild leader. If the game could handle more players and wasnt so zoomed in then I would agree that the limit should be more but lets be honest this game cant handle 40 people on screen probably and for PvE there is a pretty great party finder.

Unless they make a really diverse and complex guild system where there are various positions, features and utilities to be assigned for guild members, the low numbers of the guild members is more convenient than ever.
Wakfu has somewhat diverse and complex guild system but sadly it never have the chance to do the guild system a justice since the population is very small.

they could do like Albion, GvG is 5x5 so each guild has the 5 best (players focused on pvp) and the others can play how they want

I mean I’ve broken my guild up into teams of 5 so we would certainly be strong at arena but honestly I prefer open world GvG with more than just 5v5. Especially in a game like ToS where it’s going to become very quickly apparent what makes a strong 5v5 team (im personally guessing a comp of 5 clerics with a mix of druid/monk/support unless they nerf healing more).

Im probably really biased though since the way GvG is turning out to be really favors small organized guilds like mine over would-be zerg guilds. (although this way every guild is a small guild)

I vouch for a limit of 70-80 players

Looks like Albion online is the game for you
