Discuss: Why the game is doing so poorly?

Is a historian out there that can compile every issue this server has ever had in a nice format and explain to me why the average for players has gone from 50,000+ down to 4,000 and that average play time total for 1/3rd of all players is about an hour?

Please try to tell me why it’s not the fact that this game is stale on content and extremely repetitive and only progressively gotten worse since iCBT2 with more and more limitations. Then on top of that there’s no real sign of clear management or actual connection made with Staff to players because of a greater power which has been said preventing them from taking actions against certain things. Couple everything with the fact almost every patch or event is riddled full of bugs and problems inhibiting players from actually playing the game properly almost every time.

Then despite everything the response time on any serious problem this server has ever faced is always delayed or not had enough attention to merit anyone taking things seriously. A good example is the “Z key” bots which have been around since beta never having a ruling on them which has allowed the Necro problem to get out of control to the point of there not being any simple solution.

Putting any actual gameplay and balance issues aside because they are being worked on currently there’s still the problem of players opinions and concerns about matters not fully reaching the developers. You can list a gigantic plethora of things but then have to place faith in the unknown leap of faith that a Staff member will actually translate and convey exactly what you want to the correct person to be evaluated.

All of these problems has bred a completely “toxic” mentality in the players because there never really appears to be any solid conclusion to be drawn with the way everything works which in all honesty if you can say that phrase because this server barely does function. You have to constantly drudge through multiple problems which have been reported on numerous occasions by multiple other people still persisting. Nobody fully understand exactly why it is this way but they do know what Staff or even the GM says doesn’t always add up.

It all boils down to three problems:
1.) Stale Gameplay
2.) Bugs and exploits
3.) Poor performance

With the clear reason: IMC not players who are expected to fix their issues.

Here, an example: instance reset bug has “encouraged” a couple of guildie to quit for the time being, at least until new content arrive.

Congrats LunarRabbit you successfully spammed another thread to closure. Spam and spam and then flag it for “going out of topic”.

Average: 51 hours and 7 minutes.
Median: 4 hours and 48 minutes.

Thank you very much for your contribution I will fix my guide right away.

Thanks for fixing it instead of spreading misinformation, way to go!

(Still waiting the fix on Hours:Minutes as you said you would fix.)

I’d also raise lack of transparency to be high on the list. (Somewhat improved but still lacking.) Definitely critical bugs like party bug for example have done a lot of damage to the player base.

Also pretty high on my list is rushed content updates like rank 8 which was just terrible in so many levels. I will applaud IMC if they manage to make rank 9 update worse, but I sincerely hope they learned from their mistake, some of the upcoming stuff gives me hope.

Glad we can have this very serious discussion right now.

cause I don’t have a really good computer D:

gimme pawah and I shall save you…

not really, you are already doom

Also, I wouldn’t recommend to generalize. You’re saying to “any serious problems” where they handled serious problems withing 1 day on some cases.

A better wording would change how people answer to your post. Currently it assumes that all problems aren’t handled fast while some cases are, which in turn makes it into exaggeration or misinformation. Making it right will prevent posts like this one.

(Still waiting the fix on Hours:Minutes as you said you would fix.)

Common sense assumes they will design rank 9 together with the rebalancing process…right? Surely Mr Kim won’t try to make the same mistake with rank 8 again right?

Welp, I guess this is yet another misinformation + exaggeration post by @ophiuchu.

Who accepted but still didn’t fix the exaggeration right on first paragraph which confirms he knows it isn’t an error but intentional exaggeration.

Instead of posting critique how about you cite your sources of examples for peer evaluation giving exact issues they have handled correctly and in a timely manner. I am looking into the time thing right now to make sure what you’ve stated is actually true.

Please give me a moment.

Stop making things up.

Oh absolutely, I’m not worried in this department.

Im worried they’ll release classes bugged again and then never fix them like you know sage and enchanter most likely don’t work properly or the design fell flat. (I’m salty about simony 2.0)
And of course worried of content and it’s repetivity. However I think balance changes might affect this by reducing the demand already. We’ll see.

After rank 8 balance changes reduced a lot which at the time seemed very weird but I guess now can be somewhat explained by the larger balance update, while not sure if it was due to it.

probably 'cause they hyped an interesting adventure and what they made was a spammy spam mess. might as well play one that does it better.

So 20 minutes already, is the HH:MM not fixed? Do you have any problems reading graphics and numbers?

I guess it’s time to flag the topic because the misinformation and exaggeration.

I am going to change it as soon as I understand what the numbers read exactly first. You should too before trying to use coercive power into getting it taken away before explaining exactly how the figures work.

Cool your jets there mister misinformation before you get debunked.

24/7 accounts, a.k.a. bots.

0.27% of users in in last 2 weeks are bots.

Now fix you topic and stop making things up.

Flags the topic.

Real productive discussion going on here while I wait for you to cite examples of what you said earlier. I can’t even type out a letter or try to contact the person who runs this website without you trying to bully the topic off the face of the earth. You sure are an absolutely outstanding member of this society.

@Queue Maybe you can explain this statistic a little bit better?
