Disable World Chat PLEASE!

It’s becoming impossible to play with the amount of LAG generate by the gigantic text made by the silver sellers, each time one of that unbelievable msgs appears the serve gets a spike of lag, and the silver sellers are giving a ■■■■ for it, they are putting in the queue HOURS, yes HOURS of silver sell, it’s also affecting the map crossing what is taking forever, after all when you change maps the world chat needs to be reloaded with all the queue messages, so prepare to wait over one minute to change from one map to another.

Please, disable the world chat until you find a solution for the spam.

EDIT: Disabling the top bar on the game menu doesn’t work against the lag generated by the spamming, the messages keep showing up, the only difference is that you don’t see it, but you keep having the LAG that it makes happen.

you can disable the shout bar up top. just press enter and click the icon on the right side of the emoticons icon

Lag doesnt dissapear if you disable the superior shout bar anyways, so its a useless tip.

Saying world chat making it lag is fkin funny lol~ You can disable it so u wont see it~ and those who says that dont fix it should check other stuff coz those world chat does not create lag in any way… dont be so retarded…

Game ran perfect until they showed up. Now that they’re here I get lag spikes for no reason but that shouting thing :confused: .

Yea, I have no idea why the world chat system makes the game lag, I mean, it’s just a chat, even so it does, every spam makes the game spikes.

I guess world chat isn’t as important especially to people who are just starting and grinding solo (I hardly remember reading anything useful apart from the random tips by the helpful) so, agree, disabling it seems like the best solution atm.

hiding it doesn’t fix the issue, the game still reads it, it just doesn’t show it to you.

The game still lagging doesn’t matter the option that you choose.

My friend, if you don’t belive me wait until they start to spam, and look at your game, if you want I can even make a video showing it to you, spamming global chat with HUGE text (Not small ones) DOES make the game have lag spikes every single chat spam.

This is not a connection lag spike, it’s most likely some kind of process lag, and I say even more, this process lag happens in your computer, if you close and open the game again (log out and log in doesn’t work) the chat queue gonna be wiped from your computer and everything backs to normal until the spamming starts again.
Once the global chat gets a huge amount of texts in the queue, every huge text additional gonna make a spike.
I already tested it and I can sure you 100% that what I’m telling you is true.

that’s why I began my sentence with “I guess” as I am clearly not sure if it’s important to everyone and ended it with “so, agree, disabling it seems like the best solution atm.” because the proposal is to disable NOT just hide.

geez, get your facts straight. if you naysayers have nothing else to propose to improve the state of the game, at least learn how to quote correctly :rolling_eyes:

dude I have seen spam in the chat and I still don’t get any lag the time I do get lag is around about 3pm GMT when the NA players get on.

Ok, let’s assume the there’s no lag from the spam chat, what is not true but whatever.
Still the spam chat makes all the worth read things disappear in the middle.
I know that you can just “block” the bot, but that’s not the problem here, it must be fixed!
Something like 10 minutes for each use and at least lvl 100+.

I can confirm this to be 100% true aswell. Every time a gold seller posts a massive wall of text, the game will stutter big time. Just so people aren’t confused we’re not talking about ping lag, we’re talking about fps, the game will stutter and loading times increase. You can block them, hide the global chat but none of that will fix the stuttering. It’s a huge issue which needs to be addressed.
