Now, how do IMC can detect the addon ?
The answer to all your doubts:
https://forum.treeofsavior.com/t/afk-pet-farming-support-response/284665does summons counts as pet btw ?
Not technically pets since while both types work as companions, they also have differences in mechanics - but that doesnât matter though.
As per IMC supportâs answer:
We would like to remind you that as long you are not violating any rules or using any kind of third party program you are free to play while away from keyboard.
That means, afk sorc with checking every 5 min is legit.
and i dont know if add ons counts as third party.
Itâs kinda stupid how people mention the auto pot addons on the forums.
I didnât know it existed until i saw this thread. Sigh.
Oh, didnât know such existed until you mentioned it.
Now that is borderline ânot OKâ on my book. Iâd hate for that day to come when IMC decides to just make the use of add-ons illegal.
IKR, people shouldnât have exposed it in the official forum. sigh.
Just like how people find exploit and then post it on the internet lol.
The thing is, itâs an addon, how do they manage to ban certain addon ?
Much easier to ban all addon. T_T

Yeah. Summon and pet concept is pretty much the same.
Stone keyboard doesnât relate to sorc x.x
They canât block a certain add-on since most, if not all, add-ons follow the same way of integrating itself with the game.
The only way they can is to block ALL add-ons, as far as I know and as you said.
This is why we canât have nice things.

They mentioned their stances about addons.
They allowed it as long as it doesnât disrupt the competitiveness.
Now, does the autopot addon disrupt it ?
My main is a fletcher and I can kill bees, stealing from the templeshooter.
Just need efforts. I make more money than partying with peoples. So, thereâs that.
Summons just give advantage to be lazy while farming. IMO.
Auto pot macro is using an external software so itâs against the tos too.
However, there is an auto pot addon recently so I donât knowâŚ
Itâs actually easy to prevent the current addon system from working, but I canât imagine playing this game without those addon unless IMC decided to implement them.
Thatâs right.
Current addons really helps players.
Sigh.
not every non-sorcerer class is a fletcher.
Add-on that does automatically actions for you is a bot. Next time you will say that âadd-onâ that makes your character move, kill mobs and do quests while you are afk as âokâ because it is add-on.
For those who are unsure: add-ons are still 3rd party software.
Add-on is not a 3rd party software, because the software involved is the ToS client itself.
Even so, I donât think add-on that play the games for you should be allowed (itâs a gray area), because you can actually make a bot out of it and claims that itâs an add-on.
Either way, IMC should be able to detect them as bot using their algorithm if user reported them.
Yeah sure. And when you find a bug in someone elseâs add-on you will open a ticket and ask IMC to fix it, right?
Itâs not exactly a software tho.
But yeah, not necessarily okay.
Theyâre AFK having a program play the game for them, itâs essentially botting so it shouldnât be allowed. I donât think these players need to be punished but IMC should do something on their side to PREVENT or at least DISRUPT this.
