Not technically pets since while both types work as companions, they also have differences in mechanics - but that doesn’t matter though.

As per IMC support’s answer:

We would like to remind you that as long you are not violating any rules or using any kind of third party program you are free to play while away from keyboard.

That means, afk sorc with checking every 5 min is legit.

and i dont know if add ons counts as third party.

It’s kinda stupid how people mention the auto pot addons on the forums.

Now that is borderline “not OK” on my book. I’d hate for that day to come when IMC decides to just make the use of add-ons illegal.

They can’t block a certain add-on since most, if not all, add-ons follow the same way of integrating itself with the game.

The only way they can is to block ALL add-ons, as far as I know and as you said. :frowning:

They mentioned their stances about addons.

They allowed it as long as it doesn’t disrupt the competitiveness.

Now, does the autopot addon disrupt it ?

My main is a fletcher and I can kill bees, stealing from the templeshooter.

Just need efforts. I make more money than partying with peoples. So, there’s that.

Summons just give advantage to be lazy while farming. IMO.

Auto pot macro is using an external software so it’s against the tos too.

However, there is an auto pot addon recently so I don’t know…

It’s actually easy to prevent the current addon system from working, but I can’t imagine playing this game without those addon unless IMC decided to implement them.

not every non-sorcerer class is a fletcher.

Add-on that does automatically actions for you is a bot. Next time you will say that “add-on” that makes your character move, kill mobs and do quests while you are afk as “ok” because it is add-on.

For those who are unsure: add-ons are still 3rd party software.

Add-on is not a 3rd party software, because the software involved is the ToS client itself.

Even so, I don’t think add-on that play the games for you should be allowed (it’s a gray area), because you can actually make a bot out of it and claims that it’s an add-on.

Either way, IMC should be able to detect them as bot using their algorithm if user reported them.

Yeah sure. And when you find a bug in someone else’s add-on you will open a ticket and ask IMC to fix it, right?

They’re AFK having a program play the game for them, it’s essentially botting so it shouldn’t be allowed. I don’t think these players need to be punished but IMC should do something on their side to PREVENT or at least DISRUPT this.
