DievMikoPD future?

The names says pretty much everything, I guess

I built a dievmikopd due to the amazing dps combined to great support, but as I see PD damage got a great nerf and also diev looks oriented for full support trees

To me, it looks we have to choose support or damage now (I think it’s great for game balance) but I’m out of ideias of dps oriented cleric builds, excepting monks

-magic damage clerics got ripped?
-priest monk new meta?

Let’s discuss

For cleric I have currently have a C2>P1>Pala3>monk1>inq

I am definitely resetting to something that suit my playstyle and that would be Monk3. I always wanted to go Monk3 but avoided it like the plaque due to everyone saying monk suck ass.

I know even after the patch, monk still isn’t the best. But at least its something…

I am curious to hear what kind of monk builds there are.

I was thinking about:

  • C2P2Mk3Inq
  • C2Diev3Monk3
  • C2Diev2Monk3PD

good support and Damage, and I dont think Inquisitor is obligatory in rank 8 anymore. Maybe PD1 fits well for debuff protection and a complementary damage with incineration (0 int, but agni + great blunt weapon + red gems)

You need to see the Monk with high Dex. Double Punch is like… Whoooaaa :scream_cat:

Is the nerf to DievMikoPD really that big? I haven’t exactly been following the changes, but that’s a pity to hear because I’ve been levelling one and it’s such a joy to play.

Diev owls lost damage and duration.

Plague Doctor lost a OH in incineration and have the Agny Necklace change.

Miko is around the same but with a weaker hamaya and a better Gohei for damage but worse for status cleaning.

Basically it lost the overheat on incineration and agni was nerfed, PD must still work for dps porpouse pve/ killing buffed people in pvp, but I think it wont outshine anymore

hmm
Diev Miko playstlye is always the same. statue and clap are still okay…
Miko’s hamaya has great nerf. I can say RIP for that. making more tilted to support
and I still think that PD is strong though… as long as their skills are not changed, it’s still serve as multi purpose with their DoTs

PD seem stronger? maybe when it has good weapon.

Miko’s hamaya and gohei (only remove rank1 and only 1 debuff) got nerf, but other still same.

so it still good but not that shine like before.

If you only play a class because a guide says it’s the best dps you will always suck at it.

Miko PD is even stronger after patch but there is no guide saying it yet. X)

well it drop at the rankings at least 10 in ktos class rank, you dont need to worry i think this build can support well with others

It dropped out of the top10, but top 50 is still fine.

PD is weaker, yes, but to be honest…

…it was a bit silly being the only healer in a ET party (not all, thankfully, the more regular ET party that sometimes takes me along is better  ), while at the same time getting top1 or top2 damage. And my gear isn’t exactly stellar, being a newbie and all.

I will try the build next week for sure. I feel another build will suit me more (more support, and finally ressurection), but dievmiko seems totally okay, and still has a ton of synergy. It’s just a build with a different focus now, it’s an aura support build, not an aura support damage build.

It’s definitely weaker than before - you can see that in kTOS demonstrations. But it’s still perfectly viable.

God, you went for meta build because of meta and now you’re disappointed? Serves you right;
Honestly, no place for sympathy here. PD is still good but he’s adjusted to not being so overpowered.
Just be happy that Dievdirbys got buffed a lot to cover the slight nerf of Miko and Plague Doctor.
In this game, every Class has a bright future except Cataphract and Kabbalist it seems…

+1

Sometimes I feel I am the only one dedicated playing PD (and also Miko/Kannushi) and really like the changes as it makes PD so much stronger and better playwise. No clue what all others are doing with their Docs. o.o
Of course it’s not non gear to win anymore that’s probably why it dropped in ktos Rankings which are completely bullshit right now anyways because of the reset event.

That’s the point. A cleric build allowing amazing DPS and support without any cons, with ease, without even the need to have a great gear is stupid.
My Diev 3-Miko out-DPS people with a bad weapon, bad gear and being mostly CON. She could out DPS even pure DPS builds… while still supporting totally fine. Don’t you think that’s unfair ?
Clerics should have to sacrifice a bit of DPS for better support, or some support for DPS.
That’s why it became meta and the world was filled with them, they offered good results in both sides (and could even solo super easily) while other builds needed some sacrifices or to work hard on their gear. It was kind of funny, but ridiculous.

Their future is totally fine. It’ll just be a normal build that requires a bit more work.
But even with those nerfs it’s still in a pretty good position.

I still feel that think Inquisitor is still the way to go at R8 >R9 -> R10 as of now unless there is finally a hidden class for monk3 then probably PD1 fit better for blood letting, beak mask and healing factor. Even then, I’d only take PD1 just for the status immunity/healing factor. No point going PD2 on a Monk3.

So question is…

C2>P2>Monk3>Inq3
or
C2>Diev2>Monk3>Inq3
or
C2>Diev1>P1>Monk3>Inq3

At least until Monk3 get hidden lama class then I think PD1 would be good.

Inquisitor is the choice for single target dps. PD for AoE.

Yeah, PD will always outclass the current other cleric classes in AOE simply due to how plague vapors work.

It’s downright hilarious to see ET mobs piling up and the plague spreading, well, like the plague

That just doesn’t make sense. Less usages and less uptime does not make a build stronger. I can give you that the hitbox increase might help though (tbh, the very reason I am considering switching to a chaplain/IQ build is precisely the current hitbox of Incineration, it’s so darn finicky)
