Diev skills laima

I just wanted to ask if the diev’s laima statue movement speed slow applied to monsters and is it worth to get to a high lvl?s

It applies to every monster, boss and/or player inside its circle range. Whether its worth maxing past 5 is up to you and what you want the slow/duration for.

Depends. It’s useful if you want to stop monsters but can be annoying if you want monsters moving (duh).

You might want to stop monsters if:

  • You have AoE skills around the area of Laima waiting for more mobs (i.e. Zaibas, traps like Broom Trap, etc).
  • You are defending something. Like Uphill mission, some gimmicks that need you to defend statue, etc.
  • You don’t want to kill mobs, just make them slow (i.e. some Earth Tower floors).
  • You have zombies, and they are too slow to be chasing mobs everywhere.
  • You are partying with someone that draws mobs into a chokepoint (grinding with a friend, someone with Swash Buckling for example).

You don’t want mobs to come to a full halt if:

  • Person with Swash Buckling doesn’t bother grouping mobs before going into Laima.
  • You throw Laima in the middle of a room, making mobs stop too far apart from eachother, thus making most AoE skills hard to hit many mobs at once.
  • Most situations where you’re playing with a random, unorganized party.
  • You don’t care about slowing mobs down and want Laima just for cooldown reduction (allowing you to save some skill points).

Having it to level 5 is usually enough. It lasts long enough, and it reduces mobs’ movement speed without overdoing it.
You can increase it some more for longer fights, if you’re too lazy to recarve it every 50-55 seconds, but I don’t really see the point of maxing it for PvE. Slow mobs will be stopped, which will actually make it more annoying than helpful.
