Diev/Monk Build - Cleric C2?

Just a question out of curiousity…

I’ve been reading through threads on here about building a DPS focused, PvE Monk. I’ve previously played a C1 > Priest 3 > Monk build, but I wanted to test out how different Diev plays with Carve.

Most of the builds I see call for Cleric 2 and I’m curious on the reasons for that? Is a C1 > P1 > Diev 2 > Monk build not viable? Perhaps Priest skills don’t meld well with Diev’s tree. I would think you might benefit from the buffs the Priest class has, but maybe I’m wrong.

Just curious why the path is preferred. Thanks!

Well, c1 cleric heal is not enough to heal all your party members in a dungeon. The only time it is acceptable to be a c1 cleri is when you have a c3 priest with a lv 10 mass heal.

That or you really don’t want to become a medic in a party.

Ppl say it’s not enough even tho they haven’t tried it themselves. It’s just guessing, really. I’m currently running a Priestc1-Diev-Monk and it has been enough so far(for the lv50 dungeon). My main focus is PvP anyways, idk why any1 would pick Monk to be doing PvE so idc if my healing isn’t optimal.

That sounds reasonable actually. I don’t think L5 Heal will scale well through the rest of the game, so well put.

@iago_l - It’s been the most fun class for me to play so far and in the ICBT I loved it. It was nice to be able to have a decent dmg output and be able to heal yourself/party while doing it. It’s it top tier DPS, no way. But fun, well for me at least = )

I tried C1 before and I believe that it is enough. My heal was like 2k per tile at level 5. I did not even have the max INT last CBT.

Besides doubling your healing…

  • Fade and more Safety Zone blocks helps you while carving statues
  • More Safety Zone blocks helps monk when you’re wailing on bosses
  • Divine Might is actually really good for Diev/Monk (I’d say these two classes get the most out of it - only contested by PD). It adds 5 seconds to most statues, and over 100 base damage to monk’s burst skills. The abbreviation for Diev/Monk and Divine Might is even the same. Tis destiny
