Did not get a Dullahan Cube, something wrong?

I’m both angry and disappointed at the same time, not because I didn’t get a cube from Dullahan, but because I thought the parties who have members as one or more of the highest 6 DPS(s) in that spot would get a cube each member.

Didn’t know if this fact wasn’t correct, don’t know if this was a bug, or the system could not count properly. It had always been bothering me, but I kept quiet because I thought I’d just let it go, now it’s really pissing me off.

A few minutes ago, I was the usual me, fighting Dullahan everytime I know it was going to spawn. I had two friends that do the same, so one of them invited us to a party to fight Dullahan, then we got 2 Clerics joining our little party.

There was only our party, until the high-classed mafias showed up. There were three of them, all in the same party. We started at channel 2, and so did they, because the sphere in channel 1 haven’t show up yet.

Our party didn’t get a cube… We thought, “Ah! That’s alright. It’s weird how we didn’t get a cube, since there were only three of them if they were in the top 6 DPS, but let’s move on to channel 3, we’ll definitely get it this time~”

On channel 3, we got the cubes. On channel 4 and 5 we got nothing. Please tell me there’s something wrong with which fact(s) I think are true, because there were only 3 of them, which means if they were indeed in the top 3 DPS, we should also get the cubes because the 4-6 top DPS should be in our party, since there’s nobody else! Unless some Scouts were soloing and hiding!

TOTALLY NOT SURE BECAUSE I DONT WORLD BOSS BUT… Could it be because of this?

Boss Monsters

  • Contribution rank for defeating field boss will be changed like below.
    After acquiring a field boss cube, the [Unable to Obtain Field Boss Cube] debuff will be on for 8 hours.
    The debuff’s duration counts down only when you are logged in. It will not proceed if the player is not online.
    Debuff’s duration does not stack.
    You cannot obtain a field boss cube while the debuff is on.
    While the debuff is active, the player is counted out from the field boss rank
    (e.g. if Player A defeats a field boss and acquires a cube, the player and its party members will receive [Unable to Obtain Field Boss Cube].
    After that, even if Player A joins a completely different party and defeats a field boss, cube will not be obtained and removed from the rank.)
    However, the debuff does not stack. The party members that do not have the debuff will receive the debuff after obtaining the cube.

Is “field boss” even the same as “world boss”?

Something’s totally wrong with it.

-My fencer auto attacked ellaganos the whole time because i forgot to bring sp pots, gets #3, gets cube, which was okay for me.

-My doppel came late on harpeia on demon prison with it having around 500k-600k hp left, did a cyclone, got a cube, DID NOT get any top dps on my head, yes I got a cube, ALONE. (but hey this is okay for me too I got an audra out of it lmao)

@tampon dullahan is an exception, you can get cube even with debuff

Was starting to think the same too-- that X amount of damage needs to be dealt to Dulla by that person in the party, in addition to hitting the Top 5/6. If one of your Clerics used the skill ‘Fade’, it may have been wiping that damage done by your DPS’ers and placing it under the threshold.

^ This. I’ve read fade/cloak resets your DPS contribution.

Lol…someone can just use reversi n steal all ur dmg…it’s a skill bug where it steal ally n friendly as well ROFL

Yes, the top dps use to get a cube, and sometimes more then 6 top get cubes. At Cerberus, I already saw 8 partys getting it. The point is you dont need only a top dps in your party, you all need to get the damage close to each other. When some top dps get a too big gap ahead other top dps, it wont allow cube drops for all.

In any case you guys miss the point. There were still only 6 ppl )) So by definition they should’ve been top dps.

This is a bug, and back in my days of farming WBs it happened ALL THE TIME, even though I was part of that “mafia” you talk about (me and my friends top 1-3 cerberus kills of Fedimian back then).

I could go solo rofl cerberus with my 280 corsair and get a cube or be with one of two parties present and not get the cube even though you have 1-2 top-fletchers on your team. Dullahan is also very iconic in this as you’ll always know where he spawns => everybody does start dmg at same time.

Simply nothing works properly in this game OR we don’t know all the details yet. But this definitely looks as a bug.

Still don’t think my Warlock’s DPS is way behind the other Warlocks though. In PvP, my Warlock would always be the MVP out of the other Warlocks. And also the other parties had 280-leveled Warlocks, same as mine. One of the Clerics in my party had 164+ blessing, so I don’t know what’s wrong, really. One (not always the same person, different one each channel) out of three of them died twice, but the other party will still get cubes.

There is definitely a percentage threshold of damage that needs to be done. We know this because at one point there was around 20-25 people at dulla, our party did 75% hp worth of damage and no other party received a cube. Only 1 person in our party did DPS.

So it’s not per person but per party?

I dont think there is a percentage threshold.
Say Elleganos for example. Sometimes, I only see rank 1-2. Sometimes, only rank 1-3.
And at rare times, you can get the cube with by just touching it (when there arent a lot of people on it)

Luckily this is inside a dungeon run, so it doesn’t matter

also happened to my doppel as explained my few posts above, seems that we really don’t understand how this dps ranking/boss cube drop/anything related works

No, he said only one in the party did dps. Its for person, for sure.

If you are sure about no dmg gap betwen both partys, maybe you cleric just fade you all out of the rank. I already lose a Marnox cause of a cleric missclick. Haha

I asked because of this.
Yup, maybe it is actually because of the Fade. I rarely party with Clerics since they’re usually not around in Dullahan.
