Did Founders Pack buyers get screwed?

I bought the founders pack cause I wanted a head start in this new cool mmo. I like the combat, the gameplay, the visuals, etc. That’s all fantastic.

However the game is quite literally unplayable and that’s not even a joke. None of the NPCs work, I can’t even repair my items, equip gear, use items, use skills, complete quests or otherwise progress. Flat grinding wouldn’t be so bad if it was actually possible. Sadly your item durability goes to crap pretty fast when repairs literally aren’t possible.

I feel like perhaps the founders pack pre-play period either needs to be extended or something major needs to be done, because the game literally does not work at all. It’s not playable and there doesn’t seem to be a whole lot of commentary from the devs on this specific issue. I just don’t see how something can be sold for 50 dollars on the premise of being able to play the game, when it’s literally, utterly, non-functional.

Sure opening servers is great, but that doesn’t seem to fix anything. Based on my RO experience, assuming the server architecture is remotely similar, it seems like an issue of what seems to be the char serv getting so bloated that it cannot communicate with the map server in a timely manner. Whatever the problem is, can we get some sort of statement, ETA, something, that indicates that something else is being done other than opening up new servers that most of the pre-existing player base will refuse to transfer to because they lose all their items and stuff anyway?

I hate to be the guy who is bitching or being loud, but I don’t see any other threads that seem to be addressing this (perhaps I didn’t look long enough) and focusing on the fact that the people who paid are getting screwed out of being able to play the game at all, greatly destroying the entire point of paying for founders access in the first place. The point is a head start, not to be completely stuck because you can’t even repair your gear. It’s not even just the quests, you can’t even grindcore it cause of the durability mechanics and non-working blacksmiths.

Am I wrong? Am I just being a jerk or acting entitled? Or am I absolutely correct in that the current state of things is way beyond unacceptable? Comment below, agree, call me an idiot, whatever kthx.

None of the NPCs work, etc —

What’s your region? I get 430-700 ping and i only have to wait around <5 seconds for a response from NPCs.

Or maybe you started or Orscha City, I heard some NPCs are bugged there.

I’m in the Washington region of the United States. Most of the quest npcs don’t work for me or sometimes they do, sometimes they don’t, but the smith NEVER -EVER- repairs my gear. Ever. It’s getting ridiculous, thus why I’m writing a bitchfest about it. I’m not trying to DEMAND THE MONEY BACK or anything, but a sticky announcement that maybe details what the actual problem is and what the plan is to fix it would go a long way towards easing my anxiety over this thing.

Maybe some free TP or whatnot to go along with it?

Well, I think make it clear, this is not P2P.
IMC is selling value for money, you aren’t pay the price just for the access, but it comes with items and TP.

As for the server condition, yes, I’m not satisfy.
Map packed with too many peoples, lack of spots for leveling too. Buggy NPC and Quest doesn’t response at all.

Well sure, I hear that on the TP and the items. That’s cool and all right? But if the game is non-functional, the tp and items are just as non-functional. It still boils down to selling stuff and not delivering any of the promised products. You can’t call this delivering the game because it’s not just laggy, it’s not just huge server queues, it’s literally non-functional. Even WoD and the worst WoW launches, etc. still worked once you managed to get into the game. This however is absolutely crazy.

Yeah, it’s pretty unplayable on Klaipeda at least. Not sure about the new SEA/EU servers added.
You’re not wrong but I don’t think headstart should be extended. A month is already a VERY long headstart for a MMORPG. I mean if the current situation doesn’t change, then yes I think it’s unacceptable and we should get compensation (not by extending headstart). Right now, it hasn’t even been 2 days since it opened. Give them some time to work it out. They’ve already said they didn’t expect so many people to purchase on the last day prior to launch.

Well that’s good to hear that it really isn’t just me that’s going “Okay, what the hell you guys?” here. I wouldn’t go so far as to say an extention per se is necessary but if this doesn’t get fixed soon, like I said, “something major” needs to be done. If not a extension, then some form of VIABLE compensation.

I think the solution now is to delay login 24-48h for those new buyers, the population now even higher than the first day.

We, those who brought the first package since day 1 have no advantage at all.

its a big problem for ppl who used tokens and cant play.

That’s actually a wondeful point. What about the time lost to people who used their tokens? The game is 90% unplayable, the time on those DEFINITELY needs to be reset or extended. Perhaps an entire free token to every founder player would be necessary, maybe a 7 day one or something even. Either way, something must be done. I think the really irksome thing is they go on and on about how they’re fixing login issues via adding new servers without even the slightest acknowledgement that the far FAR FAR greater and more important issue is the in-game lag.
