Devs Gimped Monk Much More

They said they’re going to take out the restrictions that made Monk not good in the player’s eyes. What they did is add more restrictions to the class, Energy Blast is now easily cancelled with any hit, it’s not even a high damaging skill and the cooldown is retarded, why nerf the skill? Then, you have Golden Bell Shield, though the cooldown is much faster from 180 seconds to 14 seconds, the skill’s duration is 1.5 seconds and another 0.5 after the skill unlike 8 seconds before the patch. You can’t even use it now to support another player, who was the genius who thought of this?

We’ve also been teased by damage and strike buffs in the preview but it’s not implemented in the patch, did the devs just go "lol sod off, we just made this class to reach the quota of lol80classes.

I’m done, I’ll just focus on my archer and use this Monk for Saalus and Uphill runs or play another game entirely.

sad life T,T

EB really needs a buff… but now its so bad… getting cancelled all the time… :S

i am currently monk c2 (i dont know if its even worth it)… thinking whehter i shud go c3 or take something else DX

If you’re on Inquisitor C2 should be good. Wheel can hit to Bleeding + Spread it… God Finger debuff matched easily to God Smash, Malleus boost every damage skills. Pear is stand alone but good enough to kite monsters even after “bug fix”

Although yeah I never get convinced to both EB and GBS since day 1 CBT. The only use of EB is preemptive attack to far away monsters. Only during Steparu’s pre-CBT or limited CBT on 2015 that most players do not do CON/DEX build and easily die from EB lol (monsters also weak pre-200 ones). If you play Monk, you will trust Double Punch and their debuffs instead or Iron Skin if you just want “no knockback”

After rank reset, I got both Monk C1 for PD2 and Inquisitor on different accounts (one from brother) and I think that’s good enough for the 4 skills given to support other classes skills (That moment when Pardoner actually helps Monk with Discern)
