I’m loving the game so far. Got a lvl 55 archer, AA build. Working on getting a templar with my other character. Can’t wait to test out necromance.
You do realize that I’m comparing statistics from a pool of players versus opinions?
Our data from our statistic pool indicates very little trading before we ever knew that trade restrictions existed in iCBT1 and iCBT2. Since March 29th, we haven’t had a single transaction between us (20 individuals) in 1000+ hours combined either. It isn’t caused by a “restriction on trades” either mentality. Observing all our transactions in iCBT1 and iCBT2, only items of value were ever traded and this didn’t happen until our group reached about 2000+ hours combined total play about 100 hours game play per individual.
Assuming a person plays at 16 hours a day, that is about 6.25 days and if you play 1/2 that amount a day, that is 12.5 days before you had something worth or extra for trading.

Why do you find that iCBT1 and iCBT2 statistics should be omitted?

Just posting to show my support on this attitude, and I believe the current trading system will show results within the few months.
IMC don’t cave in with the demands to completely free the trading system and market. It can be improved as long as the current structure stays where trading can be tracked down to keep gold sellers out. If they get too little profit from it for prolonged period, the bots will disappear too

I personally have almost 300 hrs play, not as much as some folks cuz I still have to work.
And those statistics from cbt should stay in cbt. What did we have in cbt? Higher spawn rate, as you say trade unlimited, everything was faster compared to the present.
Why did those things exist in cbt but not now? Simple answer, bot and gold sellers. Yes, we even had bot in cbt, but then what? Total wipe after cbt finished.
And what do we have now? Bot and gold sellers are active more than ever, as IMC stated, they cannot ban all bot and gold sellers.
But can they wipe the server like they did? No, people will come to their company and burn the whole place down.
The problem was there and it is still there, ofc IMC needs to come up with solutions for the problem, and those solutions are things that people just keep crying about.
Idk whether you have traded with gold sellers or not. From personal experience, if IMC give them even 1 trade, they could fk up the whole economy.
There are far more pros to this game than cons.
I personally am a FF XIV player. I bought the game (version 1.0) at launch, had never been so utterly disappointed or disgusted in something in all my life, but I stuck with it for a while anyway and I have been playing FF XIV for years ever since then. I am also a fairly dedicated raider within the top percentage of characters progression wise.
Despite ALL of that, Tree of Savior has taken me away from FF XIV longer than just about any other game. Maybe I’m burned out, but ToS is just so much fun for me. The game’s class system has so much depth that I have all of these characters planned out already and have no intention of stopping any time soon. On top of that this game’s soundtrack just blows me away. Nobuo Uematsu has been one of my longest time favorite video game music composers and not much else really jumps out at me, but the soundtrack for this game is so different than most games and so good that I find myself wanting more of the game just so that I can listen to it.
Overall great experience.
I’m having fun. And the core never went anywhere.
That said, the whiners do some good from time to time even if most sound of them come off as comically raging neckbeards. As long as their influence doesn’t dumb down the gameplay… they’re just part of the scenery.

Well, a lot of people ‘whining’ are doing both. A lot of us love this game but I’m honestly scared it’s going to go downhill, fast, unless they fix a lot of things here.
First time I ever been worried for an MMO’s longevity.
On that note; you could of easily supported IMC without targeting ‘whiners’ that ended up making you look like a tool.
