Death penalty item destruction message

Upon dying you can get a system message saying “The item has been destroyed due to death penalty.” It’s pretty confusing since it doesn’t say what item was destroyed, and people will freak out wondering if their best stuff is disappearing. I think it was just talking about a quest item, but the system message should include the name of the item that got destroyed.

It would also be nice to have a log of dropped or picked up gems so the exact number can be returned if you run over a teammate’s gems during a boss fight. Or maybe death gems can have shaded icons (then people will post screenshots showing off what villains and gem pirates they are).

I think what items the message is referring to are actually the gems. Obviously, the gems aren’t actually destroyed but just dropped. That’s what I think though since every time I get the message, my gems drop.

I, on the other hand, think you get the message because upon dying, the durability of your armor gets lowered (possibly even to 0) and by destroyed they meant… well, destroyed, but not destroyed completely. Could be an issue with the translation.
