Currently an enemy can only have around 6-8 or so summons or AI opponents actively trying to attack it (including companions). The rest, if there are no other targets available, will do nothing.
It seriously hurts the Bokor and Necromancer’s already-terrible single-target DPS when only half of their pets can target an enemy at a time.
I believe the role that fills this issue is called Peltasta.
Bottom line, increasing max aggro would devalue Peltasta.

This is in regards to the aggro cap of the amount of AI summons that can attack an enemy monster, not the amount of enemy monsters that can attack a player character. Absolutely no where in my post do I mention the amount of aggro that can be on a player character anywhere, indicating you didn’t even read it at all. All your reply does is sow confusion on the topic because it has absolutely nothing to do with the post in question.
I have editted the title to include “By summons on monsters” top hopefully clarify it more, because apparently the title is all that you have read. Next time however, I earnestly advise you to read the post contained within (or at least give it a cursory glance!) before you type anything.
