who had the brilliant idea of making everything from lvl 100 foward knockback you? dont you guys have any sense of annoyance? why not invest on other features like, poisoning, bleed, anything but the lame ass knockback, happens even from ranged projectiles… ffs, dont you guys have mothers? stop making features just to annoy peoples gameplay experience.

This game hopefully isn’t supposed to be full easy mode all the way to the maximum level and you’re supposed to either dodge those attacks, use skills to prevent it happening or attack fewer mobs at the same time if it happens too often for you.
I’m actually glad that this game seems to be gaining some difficulty later on and it’s not just some move forward and spam attack button game like vast majority of modern games. I hope in the later part of the game you’re supposed to actually time your attacks and coordinate with your party members to take down enemies (I know this won’t happen completely but it would be nice if there were more this kind of elements) 
Only one skill on swordsman prevents knock back and its crap. Knock back in this game doesn’t make it “hard” it just makes it that much more annoying. Yes I can dodge the attacks but so what?
that is nothing difficult about being thrown on the ground by simple mobs that do stack on you eventually, it actually prevents you from taking more damage if anything at all, making challenging smooth gameplay experience is not about being as annoying as you can against players, from my lvl 1 - 130 experience the most deadly spells you had to dodge were actually the ones that DIDN’T knockback, im losing my mind over this, this is specially annoying when all you can do is facetank the mobs.
There’s this thing called jumping and attacking. If you’re a swordsman, you should learn it.
I haven’t played on swordman classes in this game yet as I like mages more but the “short back and forths or little moving on the sideways” strategy doesn’t work on this game? There’s usually short pauses on skills when they are all on CD or the next skill you’re going to use has cast time, and then you can take just very slight movement to sacrifice one auto attack to prevent the mob strikes hitting you. At least I manage to time this easily with my mage, but then again, the playstyle is rather different.
In most games I’ve played sacrificing very little maximum dps gains more dps when you don’t have to run away all the way because running out of hp or it helps avoiding many of the knockbacks.
Ya because you would see skill swordsmen in the past jumping and attacking every second in battle. Sorry I like to keep my game somewhat realistic and nowhere near annoying.
dude just go to mage tower, bellegs knockback with normal hits, blindlems knockback with firestorm like spells, its just plain stupid how anything knockbacks you, chromadogs knockback also with single hits, this is a flaw in my book.

Also, realistic? Lol, if you think ToS is a realistic game, you should redefine that word and think again.
Yeah I am finding mages tower to be a major source of annoyance on my 115 hoplite. I’m melee so I have to get up close. I think the problem is like all korean mmorpgs they have never heard of immunity timers, bascally once you get cced once you should be immune to that type of cc for a short period so you can’t just be chain stuned/knocked down etc. I mean I can deal with it, but it just makes it overly annoying when stuff in here barely dents my hp pool.
Have you tried not hitting mobs in one direction?
You can pretty much skate around most mobs without getting hit.
This sounds like a non-problem.
You can get hit by knockbacks mid jump. I understand the OPs annoyance all too well as I play a buff reliant build myself, and getting knocked back (while casting) places the buff on cd without its effect going active.
They will keep this stupid lazy idea about making everything knock back you ;

and because all these white knight are going to say to you bs like " its not ez-pz game kid , use pain barrier "
these people are stupid , as stupid as the idea of making everything knock back you 5 times in less than 5 secondes , every time ;
knock back everywhere is just a PAIN PAIN PAIN PAIN , really , playing melee when everything can knock back you ( meaning your 30s CD skill will be wasted 9/10 times ) is just a way to stop the game very fast .
Game: “Here’s a skill that will help you in more challenging areas. We know you’re prone to CC, so this should help ease the pain”
Player: “Nah”
It’s a go-hard-or-die-trying kind of thing. I don’t see any kind of problem here.

Please let me know when I can jump when I am stabbing, jump when I am charging my skills or when i am not able to move when i am locked in my skill animation. And please let me know when my auto attacks are more superior than my skills so jumping and attacking becomes optimal or when they make melee attacks less clunky.

Try equiping Cafrisun set, buy Sacrament and blessing from Pardoners, and use Arde Dagger as sub-hand. Ur auto attack will become like 1.5K-2.5K/hit
every cla-ss, every builds can solo questing til lv 220 using above set since it doesn’t require good DPS skills. All just rely on Auto Attack
so the way this game works is lets all rely on a level 15 armor set until level 200 lets do it boys
