Dear Devs. GM's interaction with players. Will this be a thing?

Would you guys ( /Devs) want to have GMs interacting with players on daily basis?

Back in the day when Flyff was my thing (FlyFF v.6 - v.9) there were GMs who actively interacted with players, help them in game, dropped some random buffs on them, talked to whole server through GM messages poping up on everybodys screen and so on… Flyff’s staff had, for example, custom events like hide and seek, riddles n all with semi-useless rewards but still it’s been for pure fun, not profits.

That is one of the best thing i remember about good ol’ Flyff and I wonder if you’d like to give us experience somehow similar to this. It makes people feel like we’re all family and it will certainly bring some warmth and joy to those grizzled veterans who remember epic MMO’s where that happened.

Would you kindly consider this being a thing again?

And question to players, dont you guys miss those days and this kind of epicness?

Lets bring it back!

was only able to experience GM popping out of nowhere near me and ask if im a bot then leaves into thin air when i was playing Flyff back then (elementor and was grinding solo on darkon the slime mobs near the town)

hope it will be the same here where GM pops and ask if its a bot or observes if you act like a bot

Did that happen in WoW? I know Blizzard has GMs like this, but tech support or bot banners are not what I meant, I’m looking for GMs who actually play their game and have fun with other players making fancy events to bring some fresh air to the game now and then  it’s been like this in FlyFF, at least for me

yes i also experience GM interacting with players back in the day in Flyff but rarely see them since im a casual but looking at some photo in forums or social media i see that they are active in interacting

To be honest… since v.10 of Flyff… it’s nothing what it used to be… but n/c on that I dont want to cry like a lil ***** again :sob:

We will.
For we like being with our users.

Would be extra awesome if you all had random GM events, too! And maybe bonus EXP weekends for your incredible fans. :sparkles:

Also, will you all be giving or offering unique items for holidays and seasons throughout the year?? :sparkling_heart:

Seasonal events are yet to come so I cannot say anything definite about them yet.

But what I want to do personally is to observe Talk-Like-A-Pirate Day.
I’d better make a Corsair to prepare for that.

Do staff members like to play the game with alts accounts without the GM tag?

I like to think that we may play together with a staff member without knowing it.

Bring [GM]MANGO back!

Talk like a pirate?
“AI MUM, WHERE’S MOI TEE, GOD SAVE THE QUEEN!”

This thread needs to be brought back to a more visible spot. It only has 302 views at the time of this comment and that is not nearly enough considering we had John basically letting us know that not only will they be active and in-game with us but that they will be having fun with it.

I mean… really, this is epic.

I wonder if we’ll have better dev interactions too. It would have to be via a translator, but it would be really cool to have a weekly QA type dealio where we post questions regarding the game to a thread and the most “liked” ones get translated and asked to the dev team.

Then… bump

My first and only GM experience was on EVE online, first hours when I started the game. A GM popped next to me and started conversation with me how I liked the game etc and if I needed any help. I was like “is this guy for real, you some russian kid trying to steal my money?!” but yeah. Fun times, spilled my coffee too on the process.

But if GM wants to make a dungeon run with me and “ToS and Chill” im all in.

I think my first GM experience was in EVE online aswell, but it wasn’t as friendly as yours. -hehe- It was when Incursions first came out and there was this event. A GM had taken command of an enemy leader. He warped out of the fight, but we tracked him down deep in low sec. A small group went after him (me included). Finally we found him, guarded by several player pirates. We died pretty fast. -hehe- Was alot of fun tho. ^^

That sounds rather civil for a pirate, don’t ya think, matey?
