Current Experience Rate

Nobody said anything about wanting to reach it in a week…
2 to 3 months to reach max level would be okay. If you are a casual gamer with a max of 5 hours per day in a 5day cycle or so.
But as it is now you would need a year to reach cap.

How exactly do you know it will take a year?

Please stop dragging crap out of your ass and hoping people will bandwagon this comment.

Because I’m experiencing the EXP rate myself and I’m also including the time I need to progress and the time I play? That’s how I do it.

And from what I can tell, it takes about 2 days of playing efficiently to reach said rank 3. Day 1 of CBT and I’m 4 class levels away from rank 3.. I wasn’t even hardcore. Played like 5 matches of dota in between and I still went out for stuff like grocery shopping.

This isn’t an insane of a grind as most people are making it out to be.

So from the experiences you have so far from day 1, you’ve deduced the algorithmic formula they use from level 1 to 200 and have also used whatever you’ve seen so far to predict the end game content that hasn’t even been created and thus know that it will take a year for the average user whom you don’t even know will spend how much playing in a day…

Bloody hell, please tutor me I only get B’s in math.

I’m sorry to tell you, but your provocation doesn’t and will not work.
The thing I used is simple logic.
If you need very long to reach level 26 as an example then you will need even longer to reach 100 or 200.

But as it is now you would need a year to reach cap.

Let’s assume for a moment that you are right, then what exactly would be the problem about this?

If I were to have actually went hardcore for day 1, I would have been level 40 and circle 3.

In one day, I would have hit 1/5th of the level cap. I’m sorry to tell you, you should stop pulling ■■■■ out of your ass and acting like you’re actually intelligent. Otherwise respond to my points like I have to yours?

It’s too long, simple as that.
While there are people who enjoy hardcore grinding and killing the same mob and/or boss over 1000 times that is a heavy minority. If things like that come to happen then I can assure you that this game won’t survive very long.
It’s really easy. You can’t do that anymore today. Maybe you were able to do that back in the “good ol’ days” where competition was scarce. But now? No.

The problem stands that it will take 2-3 months to reach cap level AT THIS CURRENT EXP RATE.

Which is what you want ._.

Nobody said anything about killing the same mob or boss over 1000 times, that year of reaching max level could be in theory filled with all kind of different content to make you advance. What I wanna know is why you want to reach the maximum level in a certain timespan.
What exactly is it going to give you?
And what is the “right” amount of time for reaching max level?
You also have to realize that most people are excited for this game because they are really bored of the same pattern most modern MMOs have been following.
Go and do quests, reach max level the same way everyone else does, do the content that is intended for max level while you really do the same things you did before, only difference being that your number next to your character isn’t going up anymore.

Having competition doesn’t means that you have to things the exact same way everyone else does, it also doesn’t means that you have to pander to nostalgia and do things the way people back then did.
In the best case scenario it means that you try to look at the past and the present in order to find new ways to make things even better

But the big issue is that you are all arguing on the premise that the experience and time required for each level starts to even out soon. What if it doesn’t? Some of you are saying silly things like “I got to 25 in 2 days that means I can get to 100 in 4 days!” without realizing that the levels are clearly going to increase in their requirements over time. What are you going to do once you get to say level 300+ and you might only get 10% of a level each day? Very few people are going to support that in the modern market.

Your big argumental post was well appreciated but saying that you’d reach cap level within 2-3months is ridiculous. Level don’t come faster the higher you get, you know…?

I’m not. That’s why I didnt say 5 days.

If it takes 1 day to grind to 40, then I am giving a modest estimation that grinds take several times longer at higher levels. It can’t be 30x longer per level ya know.

It does not take 1 day to grind to 40 at all. Those who do that are people who have a LOT of free time to play the game and it does not reflect the actual time it takes for someone to reach level 40.
Also, you’d be surprised how exponential the experience required to level up is as you get higher level. At this rate, leveling from 100 to 101 IS going to take several hours and it is going to get worse and worse.

Exp requirements does become rather exponential but there is also a subsequent exp obtained from mobs killed.

Let’s take the KCBT for example. We can assume it’s roughly 4-5x the rate here by comparing stream levelling speeds and the fact we have the amount of exp their cards give as opposed to ours. In those few days, hardcore players have reached levels like 160+, I’m just comparing and multiplying it accordingly. We’ll take several times longer, yes but people who say it’s gonna be a year are exaggerating waaaaay too much.

for anyone go with Wizard 2, they only have 2 skills to attack, with the clumsy animation and delay, normal attack is not something you will enjoy doing.

Imagine casting 2 skills and spamming normal attack for hours of grinding. It’s not enjoyable.

There should be grinding, but just to get to a certain level so you can start doing quest again. Make a good balance between them.

Yes, and that’s the problem.
The exp rate is fine, for full release. But it’s far from fine for a one-week beta test. We have no chance of reaching rank 6 in this period of time.

The longer the better.
