Cryomancer perma-freeze (Ice Wall + Psychic Pressure combo)

Yeah, I got careless for not being able to avoid it in the first place but there really isn’t much you can do as a last-man-standing swordsman against a team of clerics and wizards.

Notice how the the freeze status doesn’t even drop below 4 seconds.

No, this is not going to be a “nerf cryo” thread, and let’s not make this that (we already have tons of them). Just thought I’d share as this positioning seems to be the most optimal for a IW+PP combo. Definitely a perma-freeze.

A good tip for cryokinos, and a warning for those who gets to deal with them.

By the way, can anyone confirm (or have seen a video) of a Lancer joust-breaking an Ice Wall, if it’s even possible?

Pretty sure almost any positioning with PP ice wall is going to perma freeze you until the icewall dies which you’ll probably be dead before then. This is literally anytime someone wall+PPs you without status immunity and dont change where they are aiming their shards.

Hmmm weird. I don’t know much about this combo but sometimes I don’t get perma-freeze especially when the wall is horizontal to the cryokino’s position.

It could be though that during that time in the video, I was too near the caster that more shards are hitting me.

combination of proximity and him not adjusting his aim and yes, hitting a decent amount of walls. But even just 1 wall should keep you perma frozen.

Unless you put some SPR to resist CC, or he change his aim / or something else get the shard in your stead, you should be perma frozen till either the wall get destroyed or his PP get canceled by ally or anything else.

Would a shard hitting the wall trigger more shards?

This also works well with cyro’s rank 2 gust an Ice wall however PP is pretty freaking rigged an op if you ask me XD

ehh pvp is all about CC anyway.

Swordsman’s bash 3 overheat + cata with 3 skills (or more?) that knock down can pretty much CC till the opponent’s dead as well.

Make “helpless type” CC removable by damage like a silly game called Ragnarok did.
