This is my second time I have had the pleasure of playing the beta, and again, I chose the profession of Cryomancer.
However, I’ve noticed that the Cryomancer is still (or at least feels) extremely weak. Up to the point where I find it pathetic in comparison to other classes or professions or the Wizard tree.
Are there any changes planned for the Cryomancer any time soon or will it stay the underdog?

for me as a lvl 33 cyromancer i have to say that the damage is ok for the ice spike (the 2nd skill) it has 3-5 hits on bosses which deals 150 damage each and my other skill only does about 150-170 per cast
i would have chosen pyro but since some of its skill are stationary meaning you need to lure them to that spot to make some damage.
for 2nd and 3rd circle i cant say if they are still good since im going linker elementalist linker and necro
Try to put an ice wall, square or rectangle shape then smash the ice in the direction of the enemies with your staff (Shortcut is “C”, not “X” if you’re on keyboard play type) cause you can’t smash with a rod. This does a nice amount of damage. Try to get max freeze attributes on ice bolt, freeze state gives additional dmg. Cryomancer class icon is blue and blue is defensive type so you won’t do more dmg than an attack type class.
Are you sure you’re building your wizard right then?
Ice spike for me 1-shots most mobs and leaves them with like 7% health left if not, and this was from lvl 1-40. Bosses also took a decent chunk and I solo’d most of them with Ice spikes.
What’s your stat distribution?

I’d advise gettng linker or psyko for cryo, they can both make great use of ice wall for good damage, use psychic pressure on ice wall or link your wall together (make sure to not hit anything else than ice wall, really hard when soloing) then smack it with your staff.
That can result in really good damage, not insane but still pretty good.
But otherwise i agree, cryo is kinda meh and i’d have hated going cryo 2, 3 might be better.
