Create your Own Tree of Savior class

I’m particularly bored, and decided why the hell not do something fun. theorycrafting is a fun hobby, but whats more fun then theorycrafting then building your own from the ground up to add to the theory. what if a class existed that could replace the ever so mandatory peltasta? What if elementalist wasnt the be all end all DPS for wizard? this is the thread to do that, be it serious ‘this sounds like a good idea’ additions, or even idea’s you’ve had bottled up that don’t quite make sense for the game itself. I’ll start it off even.

Magical Girl - Wizard - Rank 5 - Gold[Mixed]

Circle 1

Magical Transformation - 1 point skill - self buff(Cant be shared)
Description: You can’t be a true magical girl without a transformation, even if it’s only cosmetic.
Effect: Transforms the user into a magical girl
Benefits: Movement speed + 5, Treated as a flying unit, all magic attacks deals an additional 150 damage hit, gain 5% of your max SP as Magic Amp
SP cost: 0.5% SP drain/second(Toggle skill)

Scatterblast - 15 point skill - damage skill
Description - shoot a volley of mana blasts at an area dealing continuous damage to all targets in the area
Effect: damage 200/234/302/336/370(+34/level cont.). duration 5/6/7/8/9(+1/level cont).
SP cost: 40 +4/level
Cooldown: 30s
Attributes: Damage 0-100. Scatterblast splash 0-5: gives each blast that hits a target a splash radius that deals damage to targets near the enemy. 50/100/150/200/250 radius.

Physical Barrier - 15 point skill - party buff
description: the magical girl outputs her magic to protect her friends
effect: channeled 5-19 seconds(+1s/level), while active gives the party members in range additional Physical defense (150+25/level).
SP cost: 20 +2SP/level
Cooldown: 20seconds
attributes: Physical barrier - Magic defense 1: Adds magic defense scaling starting at 50.
Physical Barrier - Reflect 1: Reflects physical damage at 5% of the damage taken.
Physical barrier - Moving barrier 1: Enables movement while channeling physical barrier

Summon Contractor - 5 point skill - Overheat2
Description: the magical girl calls upon her contractor for a bit of help
Effect: contractor applies an effect to the area at random based on the skill level(Only one effect will apply per cast):
lv1: deal damage(100%) to enemies in a 200 aoe around the contractor.
lv2: allies in a 200 aoe of the contractor gain the benefits of the casters current level of physical barrier for 5 seconds.
Lv3: Enemies in a 200 aoe of the contractor start taking damage equal to the current level of the casters scatterblast for 5 seconds.
lv4: Allies in a 200 aoe of the contractor are healed for 5% of their max hp
lv5: enemies in a 200 aoe of the contractor have their defense reduced by the amount the casters current level of physical barrier would provide
SP cost: 50SP
cooldown: 50 seconds

Circle 2

Magic Berserker - 1 point skill - self buff
Effect: The magical girl enters a tranced state of increased power at the cost of greater sp drain
Benefit: increases the benefits of magical transformation by double, but increase SP drain per second to 2.5% and you can only cast Magical Girl spells during the trance.
Activation cost: 100SP
Attributes: Magic Berserker - Super Armor 0-1: increase the defensive benefits of your armor by 1.5x and prevent stun/knockback
Magic Berserker - Body Bash: deal damage equal to 120% of your magic attack when colliding with enemies(Collision damage applies a 1.5 second debuff preventing the target from being hit by collision until the debuff is gone)

Magical Overdrive - 10 point skill - overheat 3
Effect: The magical girl calls upon her reserves and trades HP for SP
Benefit: exchange HP for SP:
Lv1 800HP = 400 SP
Lv2 1000HP = 600 SP
Lv3 1200HP = 800 SP
Lv4 1400HP = 1000 SP
Lv5 1600HP = 1200 SP
etc
SP Cost: 0
Cooldown 20s

Circle 3

Magical Overdrive - 5 point skill - damage skill
Effect: the magical girl expends all remaining mana for a huge explosion
Activation pre-requisite: Remaining mana 50/55/60/65/70%
Damage = 500% of all mana burned + 200% magic damage, dealt as damage to all enemies in a 1000 AoE radius of the magical girl. SP reduced to 0.
Cooldown - 1 minute 30 seconds
Attributes: Magical Overdrive Damage 1-100. Magical Overdrive - Stun 1: Upon recieving damage from Magical Overdrive, enemies are stunned for 2.5 seconds.

couldn’t think of much else, but i think its fairly balanced all things considered, though perhaps thats just me, i’d totally play it myself lol.
Also class is playable by boys. think Tail Red. :thumbsup:

Kill Stealer™ - Archer - Rank 2 Hidden Class - Pink[New Type]
Requirement for unlocking advancement: Kill Steal someone’s very first monster upon entering the game.

(one circle class since it’s hidden)

Kill Steal ™ - 5 point skill - offensive
Description - Your very existence, people won’t even know you are doing it!
Effect: Kill steals ™ someone without them even knowing it. Range increases per level.
Benefits: target a monster to trigger skill, all experience and drops goes to you. Shows no indicators to other users, only yourself.
SP Cost: Scales depending on the monster’s current HP by percentage, shows how great of a Kill Stealer ™ you are by spending less resources!
Cooldown: None

Sorry Not Intended ™ - 5 point skill - damage/buff
Description - automatically attack everything in sight for the greater good, requires other players in sight to use
Effect: description, increases move speed and attack speed by 4% per skill level.
Duration: Lasts until there are no other players in sight
SP cost: 50 SP, costs 5 SP less per player in sight
Cooldown: None

Baited ™ - 3 point skill - Debuff
Description: Converts a mob into shiny with the jackpot buff icon placed on them, however, they are still considered as a normal monster and give no jackpot bonuses.
Effect: (Levels are adjustable)
Lv 1 - White Shiny
Lv 2 - Blue Shiny
Lv 3 - Gold Shiny
Cooldown: 180 seconds
Attributes(req lv 3): Gold Shiny drops silver, but gives the killer L I T E R A L L Y ™ nothing

Kill Steal ™ with style ™ - 5 point skill - does basic attack
Description: Steals ™ the kill from someone, however grants no EXP to both the stealer and the first hitter.
Effect:
Lv 1 - Upon kill steal ™, automatically do a random emote
Lv 2 - Upon kill steal ™, automatically do an emote chosen by the user
Lv 3 - Upon kill steal ™, automatically says “Thank you”
Lv 4 - Upon kill steal ™, automatically drops Goddess Laima and saying she doesn’t need you
Lv 5 - Upon kill steal, the person who got stolen gets logged out to Lodge.
Cooldown: 24 Hrs

I haven’t gotten that detailed with it, but I’d love a magic class that works with air. It could have a tornado attack, an air current to push enemies back, maybe one that slams a strong burst of wind into enemies, and of course, an ability to temporarily travel/move faster using air as well.

Basically, something like an air bender would be awesome.

You forgot the inevitability of Mahou Shoujos turning into witches.

Geomancer - Magic Tank (Wizard)
Has shields that will reflect damage back, permanent “stances” basically. One of them being a tank stance that buffs the player’s defense and magic defense, and increased aggro on all skills while it is active. Has a leaping skill that leaps toward enemies and does aoe damage, gaining aggro on every enemy hit. This was originally a suggestion for Final Fantasy XIV.

– Earthen Veil – (Tank Stance) (5, 10, 15)
Shrouds the user in a skin of the very earth itself. Increases Magic and Physical Defense… and increases enmity/aggro to enemies attacked. Stance Buff, permanently active until user deactivates or uses another “Veil” or “Skin.” Attack power of the user is decreased.

– Thorny Veil – (DPS Stance) (5, 10, 15)
Shrouds the user in a skin of thorns, reflects back damage to enemies based on damage dealt to the user. Cannot be used with other veils or skins. Attack power of the user is increased, and physical defense decreased, can reflect magic attacks.

– Earthen Fog Shroud – (Higher level skill / circle 3+) (1/1)
Shrouds the user and their allies in a fog. Stance buff, permanently active until user deactivates. Cannot be used with other fog shrouds. Aggro/enmity is directed at the user, rather than party members, lower aggro from other party members, and party members take less damage from magical attacks. User’s attack is further decreased in addition to the attack decrease of other veils and skins. Can be used with any of the veils and skins.

– Thorny Fog Shroud – (Higher Level Skill / Circle 3+) (1/1)
Shrouds the user and their allies in a fog. Stance buff, permanently active until user deactives or uses another fog shroud. Cannot be used with other fog shrouds. Buffs allies and user’s magical attacks, reflects damage based on damage done to user and allies. Attack is further increased in addition to Thorny Veil. Earth magic damage also increased.

– Leaping Quake – (5, 10, 15)
Leaps at the targeted area or enemy, and deals damage and generates enmity/aggro to all enemies hit. Cannot execute while bound, and cannot be used to reach enemies past deployment spells such as Ice Wall.


Demon Charmer / Demon Dancer - Debuffer / Support (Surprise)
The revelators have decided it could be useful to start hybridizing into the demonic races. They’ve drank the blood of demons, becoming partially demonic themselves. Permanent changes to their body have ensued, allowing them special abilities, etc.

– Devour Target – (5, 10, 15)
If enemy is normal sized, skill will drain HP and SP from target. If enemy is shrunken, chance to completely swallow target. Chances increase the higher the skill level. Once devoured, user gains HP and SP at a hastened rate, with the buff “Well Fed.” In PvP, player cameras are focused on the person who devoured them. Attributes include being able to devour allies at extremely low on health, protecting them from harm, and healing them until higher health is obtained.

– Shrink Target – (5, 10, 15)
Target is shrunken. Allies can be shrunken as well. HP, SP, etc. are decreased, evasion, dexterity increased for target. Higher skill levels makes the duration last longer.

– Grow Self – (5, 10, 15)
You grow your own body to giant sized. Certain skills will now work on Normal sized targets, and HP, SP, Defense and Magic Defense are increased. Magic attack is decreased, evasion and dexterity decreased. Duration lengthened with higher skill levels.

– Summon Succubus/Incubus – (5, 10, 15)
Summons either an Incubus or a Succubus at random. They will seek out and drain HP/SP from targets, and have high evasion and dexterity. They can also devour targets that are shrunken. Weakness to Ice and Holy Damage. Higher skill levels summon more powerful versions. Attributes include being able to allow the summons to shrink or grow targets at random; as well as nurse types that heal allies.

– Gate of Teleportation – (5, 10, 15)
Sets up an entrance gate. Use again to set an exit gate. Both allies and enemies can use these gates. Higher skill levels extend duration. Attributes can expand distance.

– Summon Lamia – (1/1) (Higher Level, Circle 3+)
Summons a female lamia who will seek out and damage enemies. Can devour/coil multiple shrunken enemies. Attributes include summoning a larger variant, and a nurse type that seeks out allies and coils around them to heal them when they’re at low health, protecting them from harm.

Reserved space. Will have the build set-up after a few hours of planning and polishing.

Meanwhile, have something else in the meantime.

i honestly wasnt basing this one off the madoka magical girl, since that was sorta a genre break? while i love everything meguka, and would love another movie after rebellion, i actually designed this one more off Fate/KLP and similar Magical girls.

I know, I just automatically go to it since I really love it.

My class would be a Vampire class. Varied buff/debuff from the different enemy type’s blood drained.
More details later. Maybe.

the first time i read through this i misread it as laima. i was so confused… as for the rest of the demon class, my biggest issue is Shrink enemy is a Thaumatuge skill already, and Grow can be related to either thaumaturges swells, or Rune casters Rune of Thurisaz, other then that the class is an interesting idea o/

It would probably make the most sense out of all of them, since ‘Dark’ goes as far as being overly pretty for wizards, according to warlock. and plague doctor goes into the steampunk idea that its a crapsack world and you can only better it by being human, so a reverse of that would be interesting, and make a fair bit of sense.

Well, Final Fantasy XIV actually has a healer summoner class, called “Scholar,” so I’m not sure why Tree of Savior’s developers didn’t think of something similar. Maybe they didn’t know how to code a full-healer AI that never attacks?

can you really call scholar a summoner class? Idk i’ve not played XIV due to playing on a toaster, but from what i’ve heard its essentially a mini-healbot that follows you around and heals people either autonomously or on command. as for AI, i think Sorc, Necro, Hunter, Falconer already speak for how well the AI is in ToS sadly. Though, for ToS Healer summoner, i think the closest you can currently get is Oracle, but thats less summoning and more transforming so eh.

Damage attribute 1-100
Stun Attribute 1-2 - 50% chance to stun on hit for 5 seconds per level

Holy Aura - Skill - 5 Ranks - Out of Body Only
Effect: Provides allies with a buff that cuts damage recieved from all sources by 20/25/30/35% for 20/22/24/26/28 seconds
SP cost: 50/67/84/101/118
Cooldown 35 seconds

Divine Wrath - Skill - 1 Rank - Out of Body Only
Effect: Upon activation your soul is unable to move, all monsters aggro is drawn to your soul for 5 seconds. after 5 seconds, your Soul explodes with your current level of Astral Body Explosion + All damage taken during the five seconds in a 500 AoE. Your Soul is Invulnerable during the 5 second duration.
SP cost: 120
Cooldown: 50 seconds

Shared Divinity - Skill - 5 Ranks - Out of Body Only
Effect: Upon activation your allies recieve a portioion of all your stats
Scaling: 50/65/80/95/100 to a maximum of +10/20/30/40/50 to each stat
duration: 30 Seconds
Cooldown: 60 Seconds

Idk. never played Sadhu but i keep hearing people say Sadhu very sad currently, so i made a class to be its saving grace in my boredom. idk if i broke it or not, but i think this is nice.
