Crafting problem

that comment was not meant for you lol

to sum it all up:

  1. if you keep comparing AND keep using one game or another as a base comparison, you won’t get anywhere
  2. the way you phrased your topic and your comments suggest your trying to change the whole damn thing
3)what im saying, don’t just only compare and compare but give original ideas instead of saying its similar and needs to change or what not, input something new! ==’

and so your asking the Devs to change one of the main mechanics in the game? you think it is that simple? i might not be a game dev or some sort of NEET or whatever, but just using common sense that it takes quite a while to change those stuff(like a whole system) of you want to meet the player’s needs

make it more premium shouldnt be that dificult

and

well we cant say ToS crafting system is unique, this kind of crafting system date way back 1990´s that is why we should compare because we can see the same crafting system in all games with just a few modification but is basically the same so we should take the best from each crafting system as I say “there nothing new under the sun”

a crafting system with schematic and basic items as ingredients in my opinion are the best but I was never happy with the tier and lame schematics, crafting should be use later in the game, craft more “premium things”

and change that is not difficult at all (for the dev) is just a cosmetic change, change the schematics and the items ,that it

but many people here are happy with the current system so that is good

maybe you’re too shy to ask for changes, but the whole purpose of testing out a game is to provide input that would be convincing enough for the devs to change the game. I realize we are not the main player base of the game, so our arguments may not be as convincing as the Korean playerbase’s, but I still would like to believe that they are listening to us. You would be surprised at how easy it is to improve or change a system at this stage of the game. Pulling the “oh it’s going to take time” card makes very little sense here. The whole purpose of the beta testing is to put forward these ideas while we still have time to test them out before the official release-- that’s where suggestions will become meaningless-- so that we can improve the experience for players.

Once again you’re free to disagree, since changes affect everyone, but I still think the crafting system feels boring.

I don’t see how making less recipes available (since the suggestion to make it ‘more premium’ would means removing the ‘less premium’ items) is improving the game.

The OP’s suggestion of ‘cool’ weapons/armors that require boss drops ARE in the game (you can see in Steparu’s boss videos that someone got recipe for orange/red tier equipment off a boss)
So he has his desire there.
And his argument is essentially “these other things exist that I don’t like, remove them”

I’ve also mentioned examples of items that’s good enough to last even from early game (Vubbe Gauntlet)
What? It require grinding for rare drop? Look at OP

It’s exactly what he wants! Except that it require low level to equip and…actually that’s it really, it’s good enough to be used until current cap so it’s quite ‘premium’ as is.
There’s also craftable cosmetics (got myself Goat Horn in beta, 86 Panto Horns, all self-farmed)

Also, isn’t the lesson opposite here? That DA:I had system that the players skipped early on because it wasn’t rewarding enough in that level is THEIR PROBLEM, and not that ToS isn’t…what, not ‘premium’ enough with its crafting???

if i was shy, you wouldn’t even see me here on forums commenting for even posting feedbacks on the game =,= and you guys(not only you but from my view of the forums****) are taking advantage of the Devs are listening to our feedbacks, lets give feedbacks and how we can change the system or this game is similar, lets whatever (you know what i mean)~ this is just wasting the Devs time reading the topics ==’ what’s the point if there are 1000 or even more topics on feedbacks when less than half actually made sense?

EDIT: not the whole forum but an unreasonable amount****

rolftdat just gave what i wanted to say to you sooooo~ to add on, its because it was made in 1990 that it was unique, how many games you see has this kind of system? or even made use/made the game with this kind of system where it’s actually convenient? (last part was my opinion, the part about being convenient)

The devs don’t read most of this stuff unless it is brought to their attention. How do I waste time that they don’t even give in the first place? lol In any case my purpose in these kinds of threads is to find a way to make the feedback WORTH reading, because otherwise it turns into, what you said, a bunch of senseless topics.

my advice to you then for your purpose, stop, its backfiring on this topic

Or maybe I could just voice my opinion because I have a right to? What’s it to you? I don’t understand your purpose for saying such a thing, other than squelching others who don’t agree with your point of view.

you know Staryx you are probably one of those “special” players or maybe a 10 years old kid player

Pseudo is giving an opinion just like me and you should respect that, and both of us have enough experience with other games and with that experience we can make decent comment and decent ideas

in your world everything is perfect, there no need for a beta test

btw for your information crafting is quite old

crafting with a “modern system” we CAN see it since 2000 with diablo II (15 years ago) , we can find proto crafting system in megaman legends, not to mention GBA game Summon Night: Swordcraft Story (2003)

a more developed crafting system like ToS, never winter night II (2006) almost 10 years ago
then we have dragon age saga their crafting system is quite similar and we can basically say its the same as dragon age inquistion (2014) that is one year ago

I can say to you Tos and dragon age inquisition has the very same crafting system, they are brothers

so yes crafting system is old but is getting better and better

Staryx respect other people opinions

Since when did i even squel lel, i did say advice, you could have taken it or said no thanks instead if saying something i aint doing~ and did i ever say u must follow my way? Or anyone else in that matter?

Think even futher and every possibilities in your opinion~ again, did i say everything is perfect? And sure, everyone who gives opinion on your thread or disagree in a reasonable sense is a 10 yr old~ no point debating on it when your who didnt even state the details on what u wanted~

For those of you who can’t do anything else except cry and moan, just refrain from posting until you have something constructive to say.

On the topic: The crafting system is surely not innovative or even interesting to be fair. However, the fact that most common drops are used as crafting material is a great plus even if the recepies at low lvl are somewhat bad. Fixing this issue isn’t too difficult: if the lower level crafted items aren’t worth crafting, you need to buff them to make them interesting.

In most mmo the crafting system is really crappy tbh, low level items in general are quickly useless or only used as “power level items” for new characters. Figuring out a way to take advantage of old gear other than NPC:ing them would be greatly appreciated. A typical solution to this has been the “salvage” systems, but thats also a bit of a lazy solution, but still a solution, which is better than nothing. How about making recepies that require you to combine several or even 10 lower lvl crafted items to create a stronger one? With a certain success % of course. That would keep the items valuable and interesting to even higher lvl players.

excellent idea Nervontuxis

Most people dont know it but its possible to name crafted itens. My wizard was crafting a pants with 5 blue gems called spammer it gave me ridiculous ammounts of sp regen and even some extra sp.

There’s also craftable cosmetics (got myself Goat Horn in beta, 86 Panto Horns, all self-farmed)
[/quote] Didn’t that item have a special effect too? Something along the lines of knockback or something.

Nope, at least I don’t remember any of the head cosmetic having any stats at all.

nope, no extra effect on cosmetics, that’s why we called this game tree of hats XD

Ahh you’re right, I found it by the way. http://www.tosbase.com/database/items/628043/

It was just a description but like all cosmetic hats they all have some sort of goofy description. When I was playing the game I confused the description to be an actual effect.
