so i want to main an oracle and i was thinking on something like this, http://www.tosbase.com/tools/skill-simulator/build/y9ebu361tz/ what are your thoughts on that? any recomendations would be appreciated, specially stats wise, im willing to take something different than diev, but im pretty solid on cleric C2 and oracle C2. One more thing anyone knows if dead sentence si worth for anything? is it single target?
I was thinking of a similar build as fortune teller sounds like the hidden class for oracle, have you considered using bokor 3 or sadhu 2? I can see the grinding being terrible if you donât take something more offense oriented.
im planning to play a full support role, i know the grinding will be hard but i plan to play with friends or cry for parties hehe, im also considering cleric C2 Priest C3 oracle C2 to have lots of heals
Are you planning to run Int for the heals, etc? Carve Owl is based off your matk if thatâs why youâre not picking it up. It does have a painfully long cooldown though⌠If you got a best buddy to level with it maybe more ok⌠But Iâd at least get yourself the owls for certain if youâre doing Dievdirby, if nothing else then to help with bosses and high HP mobs.
what would u change to make space for the owl statue?
I would take a point out of carve. Youâill want to wake up a Dievdirby player to ask if you even need carve as a caster. I know you could purchase wood yourself from the Dievdirby Master but I donât recall if it was the full range of wood or not. But I remember it was cheap⌠Something that would be negligible high level.
Edit: You also want a point in âchangeâ in the oracle tree⌠It has an attribute that give you a chance to summon a jackpot mob that gives you 250* the amount of silver normally dropped by the mob.
There are going to be fringe cases when the death sentence ability makes sense⌠So put at least a point in that to. Otherwise whatâs the point of even getting OracleC2.
And if youâre focus is PvE and not PvP⌠I wouldnât worry about jacking up your rank so high in Counter Spell till we see a reason to in game. It may come into play later but atm⌠There arenât that many mobs that even use magic circles⌠Let alone a massive amount of them.
And donât just flat out avoid skills unless you know for sure youâre not going to find a use for them. Even a single point in many skills is powerful. By completely avoiding death sentence, Carve Owl, and Change youâre missing out on powerful tools.
Oracle just isnât worth it atm tbh.
- Arcane Energy is decent, but thereâs better more decisive buffs youâd likely prefer. (if it isnât a aura)
- Change is the best oracle skills so far, the ability to change mobs your team/build is weak to and roll for rare mobs is quite good.
- Clairvoyance is largely irrelevant, due to the general absence of rare items from regular mobs. (Aside of monster gems, which are to rare anyway)
- Counter spell is more likely to harm your teamâs efforts then help it, as it removes a good chunk of allied spells as well.
- Forecast is not important either, most bosses are repeated rather often giving players plenty of time to learn their attacks and tells.
- Resetting is junk, same reason as clairvoyance. Youâll still need to grind enemies a lot anyway for exp.
- Prophecy isnât that bad, but the condition removal pardoner/plague doctor condition removal is just far better.
- Death Sentence is just to slow at killing enemies tbh. Only skill lvl 10 is somewhat decent with 20s, And yes it is single target and does not affect bosses.
Basically meaning that:
- Oracle offers no dps worth mentioning.
- Oracle offers inferior condition prevention/removal.
- Oracle offers some utility from Change, but the rest is rather insignificant. Esp since it offers 4 buffs with a current 5 buff limit for everyone.
- Oracle does offer a nice costume.
Especially with the recent changes that basically mandates cleric2 to have enough healing, oracles only have 3 circles to get all their damage or other roles theyâd desire. (3,4 & 5th circles) And thereâs just nothing that provides enough dmg in those circles alone for any build.
However if you want to forgo oracle c2, then i do see 2 possible builds currently:
- A Cleric2/priest3/chaplain/oracle. Offers plenty of support/healing/damage but will really struggle vs the buff limit.
- A Cleric2/krivis2/pardoner/oracle/plague doctor. High buff limit, good healing, good condition removal, decent dmg. Oracle scrolls.
Or just wait to see what the updates bring if youâre dead set on oracle2.
I would take the points out of carve and carve vakarine for owl statue. Carve is just the same as four basic attacks, if only a bit faster, and even on plant type monsters the damage buff is simply decent, and doesnât compare to owl. As for vakarine, klaipeda/orsha warp scrolls are what, 300 silver? 500? Just use those and use the statue from there. The money saved is so not worth the skill points imo.
Remove 5PT from Carve, If you are support - this skill isnât very necessary. Itâs good for solo but only vs plant monsters, but i only played diev without any int so i canât say that full int is also going to 1 hit the plant monsters. Plus there is an animation lock where you canât move whilst you do this, so itâs not the best skill to be using.
Remove 5PT Statue Zemyna. Zemyna and Laima become their best once their duration exceeds the cooldown timer ( 55ě´) , i think itâs best to keep it around the same. With the changes of Diev it is a lot easier to set-up many statues quickly. ( You want to cast laima statue first if you want to get the most from the CD - 20% )
Add 10PT Carving Owl - If you are building INT heavy then this will be a very strong burst turret. It already has high raw attack power when you first learn it. The statue can take aggro when they attack, Owl is very resilient so do not worry about it too much, Laima & Zemyna are more fragile statue, so beware of their health as they may need healing to sustain themselves if they are under constant attack ( This is not mandatory )
Donât pickup the World Tree Attribute unless necessary ( The regular skill is just fine however) , it cuts the range into awful small circle in order to make it last longer. The World Tree now affects flying monsters if i recall correctly, itâs a great statue to have for those â oh no â moments where things are going downhill and a party needs a breather zone. ( The silence doesnât work on bosses of course )
Others have posted good information, Itâs hard to give something that oracle can use very well without becoming the absent party member. Keep your eye on patches and see if anything good pops up! I wanted to be an oracle too-more so for the outfit, but i couldnât fit the classes i wanted into a build that would be effective from an easier stage in the game.
I donât really like your build but it is because I am more into the priest build and I donât really see any good reason to take cleric beyond circle 1. Now, I can give you some advices based on the healers that I played. Fist since you are going for Cleric2 without question, take Bokorx2 for PVP since Mackandal and Hexing are really really good in arena and it will help you to level up for your self, now if you are going ful pve take priest2 since you will need resurrection from priest1 (it can make the difference between wiped or save an instance), Mass Heal from priest2 and Revive if you ping and timing is good (you can try this for pvp too, but in my experience bokor will work better), you will also recive some nice buffs and your party will love you for that. Now for circle 5, if you are intrested in PVP take pardoner1 (Indulgentia is a must since it is the only skill in game to remove stats lvl2), if you are going for full PVE this circle is up to you (I will recomend something like Dievdirby for cd reduction, Krivis to increase your buff limit [people will love you for that] or maybe another priest for full support, up to you). Then you can add oraclex2 since you are solid about it too. I hope it helps you.
