This is historically incorrent, a ‘‘Fencer’’ or just someone who uses a rapier will most of the time if not always carry something in the off hand as there’s absolutely no downsides to this, generally a shield or buckler. The reason the atribute is called ‘‘Rapier Mastery: Agressor’’ is likely a reference to the generally more aggresive styles that accompany styles that use parrying daggers, shorter words or even a gun winkwink in the offhand which we can just assume is the kind of style the master uses (or maybe just a happy coincidense, god I don’t know her name yet we need more ingo on these things because I doubt I’m getting to the Forest of Prayer to see her in time) and thus why she can teach that.
In the matter of a gap closer skill this isn’t necesarely accurate either, while fencers do in fact use their range to get in they generally don’t really move much further from their original position rather than just taking a new stance for the attack in which their range is elongated the moment they see an opening for the attack to get trough, this would be better represented in a stance buff much like Finestra in which a Fencer’s range would be extended by 1 or 2 for the duration of it.
Note that these coments are made in based of my knoweldge on historical fencing and manuals and not olimpical fencing which is what I’ve seen people on this forum quote time and time again when recomending things for Fencer.
@MatheusUlisses @Karjalainen Because I don’t know how to answer to multiple people.
