I’m expecting at some point there will be chests in the game only corsairs can unlock, and then we all have to use skill resets to get them.
might be but i doubt they would, that’s unfair for other people its gonna be a discrimination for other classes on the other hand i heard IMC’s planning to implement swordsman only armors which would separate us from other classes making swordsman the ideal tank that we are entitled to be but if those armors are meant to tank, im hoping they have an offensive counter part which are also swordsman only because if they all are for tanking purposes then all swords would be considered as tanks regardless of how they’re built.

It would be no more unfair than anything else exclusive to other classes. Corsairs can’t make potions or awaken items, or find hidden items with scan, or repair armor, etc.

I’m a SW2 > Barb 2 > Cors 2 > Shinobi.
Deciding if i go Corsair 3 or Doppel or even Sword 3 for shinobi clones copy skills.
I don’t want to be locked to weapons so Fencer and Dragoon are off the table.
Pros and cons please?
Post is dead because Corsair is dead thanks to the incredible strength of R8s and Lancer being 2h-spear only. We knew taking a R7 over a R8 would be weaker but holy ■■■■ I never anticipated just how big the power spike would be at R8.
Shinobis that didn’t go Pelt/Rode are pretty ■■■■■■ too.
One can only hope that a 1h sword comes with R9.
In my case what do you think it’s best? as a corsair 3 yourself, should I get corsair 3 on R8 or doppel?
Really couldn’t tell you.
I’ve always though Corsair + Templar would be a cool combination. Rather than just be a pirate, why not a be a true and blue PIRATE CAPTAIN? That’s how I’ve always viewed corsair/templars, at least.
Get fencer if you went SW3 barb1 or sw2 barb2. Rapier mastery boosts all your skill damage by 15% and you get defense pierce for pierce.
Remember matador is coming at the next rank or so, so get rapier mastery while you can, also rapier + pistol is always best in IMC’s games.
Also, Cleave boosts dagger C so I don’t see why it wouldn’t boost rapier basic attacks too.
viable (more or less) corsair c8 builds for PvP:
Sw3-Cata3-Cor1-Lancer1
Sw2-Hop2-Cor3-Drag1 (or Doppel or Ninja or Hop3, but I prefer Dragoon)
Sw2-Barb3-Cor2-Murmillo1
Sw2-Hop2-Cor1-Doppel1-Dragoon2
Sw3-Pelt1-Cor1-Fencer3

if rank resets are really to come we all would have better rank choices hopefully it comes soon as rank 8 comes so my shinobi won’t be put on hold

I know that restrain works with a pistol, but has anyone tested if Pistol Shot works while mounted? Going lancer with a companion named “Ship” sounds tempting, outside of weapon switching and not being able to use JR or Dust Devil…
