Always wanted to build a Corsair but never wanted it to be a “lets get c1 and abuse the buffs” and now it seems it got pretty solid with c3 so what are other classes or combos to do with it now? Still Hoplite3 as some people did before? Anything new? Any different combos that would be better for it?
Or just in my case that would be a corsair mostly for farm purposes (not excluding the fun and joy the class will bring me).
As some other people will tell you, the changes in Corsair3 weren’t super significant.
Pistol Shot got a buff in terms of aoe potential from the attribute (making it splash), pillage was removed from Jolly Roger and giving as a base passive, Jolly Roger was changed from kills to combos, giving a ranged attack buff at 300 hits, and DWA was allowed to be used with a gun in the offhand.
I’ve read people saying that DWA with a pistol feels slow, and that it’s hard to get the Jolly Roger buff solo, but that the bonus is liked by archer classes.
As for builds, I’ve read that people pair it with Hoplite2/3, possibly Shinobi as their Rank 8 choice since it’s the only one that fits others than Dragoon1. I also saw that there was talks of a High3>Cor3>Shinobi build since Crown+Moulinet can be cloned, but you would lose the Spear Lunge debuff for Hexendropper/Kunai. Another build would be Sword3>Barb1>Cors3>Shinobi where Cleave will be buffing Double Slash for your clones.
Again, this is mostly what I’ve read from posts online rather than direct experience. If anyone with experience wishes to chime in, that would be very helpful.

Something to take note of if you decide on taking Shinobi with Corsair.
Pillage, JR and DWA does not work with clones.
My current build is Swordman>Peltasta>Hoplite2>Corsair3>Shinobi, though, I would change to Swordsman3>Barbarian>Corsair3>Doppelsoeldner if IMC releases another reset.

Swordsman3 for Pain Barrier and restrain.
Barbarian for Cleave.
Doppelsoeldner’s multi-hitting skills and AoE seems good for pillaging.
The current build is ok, but the AoE for it is too small and linear for me.
Preference, I guess.

I got Highland corsair shinobi. And the Highland shinobi combo works awesome. Also high1 supply the pirce bonus from spear lunge with the cross ward atribute.
Now the real focus on the corsair build is máx the auto atack damage. I think get a loot of línes of damage and a loot of elemental damage is the best way to improve the c3 corsair damage.

Heard that cors3-dop1 is great for 300 mob farming (and there’s also the new patch where they nerfed the mobs hp/mdef/pdef - tho I only noticed HP decrease on 290 dungeon). I would go sw3-pelt1-cors3-dop1 here or perhaps barb/hl mixed in between Sw1-X-X-cors3-dop1 for skill rotation. Else, hop3 with high spear throw/trans geras nets you good dmg with large aoe (circle aoe). Cors3-fence1 is okay too for spamming skills.
