Good on them indeed. Video games in general always have a vulnerability somewhere, and people will always find an exploit for them. Look at any popular MMO RPG/FPS ever and look at its history on the countless amount of hacks the company had to fight off.
Because itās pretty much impossible to prevent, what REALLY matters is how fast the company patches up the holes, and how they deal with the exploiters themselves. This sh*t has gone on far too long and harmed too many MMOs. IMC giving the harshest punishment possible is the right decision.
Because once an exploiter always an exploiter, most of the time these people get very little enjoyment out of the game playing it ālegitā once they had a taste of power that exploits gave them. A minor version of āAbsolute power corrupts absolutelyā. Once caught, theyāll either find a way to hack and/or exploit again, or quit and move on.
IMC forced the second choice, and I agree: Let the exploiters be a cancer to another MMO community, but NOT this one.
