Bug Description :
Conviction reduces the elemental resistances of the target on their stat sheet (tested via a duel). HOWEVER, Elemental damage is NOT increased by this negative resistance.
Steps to reproduce the issue :
- Have + additional fire/ice/lightning/poison from equipment (any equipment, sword, necklace, headgear, shield, etc. doesn’t change it).
- Attack an enemy with no mainhand weapon equipped. Take note of the damage dealt.
- Debuff an enemy with Conviction
- Attack again with no weapon notice how the damage does not change at all. (This is a problem. Mean’s the debuff is doing nothing)
This makes Conviction a fairly terrible skill, and hamstrings the paladin’s potential damage. I hope this gets fixed soon. My guess is that negative resistances getting added as extra damage was messed up when the damage calculation got changed. Potentially any extra elemental damage being added has been messed up. The numbers haven’t quite been adding up.
