Controller Support

Hello folks, have a question for everyone using a controller. I am currently using a PS4 controller, connected through BLUETOOTH, using a program “Input Mapper” to have the controller be detected as a Xbox360 controller.

SO, onto the issue. The controller UI says “L2+R2” switches to a second set. This set is basically a whole new 20ish hotbars for the controller. Well, the issue is. When I press L2+R2, it DOES change to the second SET, BUT, as soon as I take a step, it auto swaps back to Set 1.

Wondering if this is by design, or if something is screwy.

Thanks for yalls input on this.

THere is definetly something wrong there. It is not intented for the bar to change back on moving.
I might recommend trying MotionInJoy though, as this program does not have the problem of the bars switching back on movement. Atleast for me.
Another alternative would be Xpadder.
Wish ye luck^^

Well… thank you so much for confirming that! I figured something was wrong but wanted to reach out and see what folks were running into it.

Time to do some tinkering =).

Same issue here, using wired PS4 with SCP drivers.

And kinda offtopic, I’ve had nothing but bad experiences with MotionInJoy. Its vastly outclassed now by SCP Driver package and DS4Windows.

Hmmm… so we go further down the rabbit hole then… I have a 360 controller here in the office. Gonna check if it does the same with that one.

Sucks, cause as much as I love my DS4, its like using a controller on the PC is just “easier” with a Xbox one.

Well… I tried with my Xbox One Controller, and it does the exact same thing.

And then I figured it out lol.

So, in the settings menu, if you have it set to “auto” it will for some reason do what we are discussing here. But, if you put it to “controller” it works just fine.

Awww, I was going to tell you exactly this when I saw your first post, too bad I was late. lol
