This is a bug that involves changing your control scheme from any bar-related control scheme (Mouse or Auto) to the Controller control scheme. There are two ways to recreate this bug:
Setting up your Hotkeys on the Controller Control Scheme for the first time
- When you change to the Controller Control Scheme (CCS) for the first time, all your hotkeys are put into default locations based on their previous placement in any other control scheme.
- If you rearrange your hotkeys in the CCS, to make them actually work for you while playing in this mode, then change back to one of the other control schemes, you’ll have new (duplicate) hotkeys placed in new spots on your old bar, matching up with the new placement in the CCS [So, at this point, you’ll have a hotbar cluttered with double hotkeys]
- Then, regardless if you remove all the duplicate hotkeys from your bar and reset it back to normal after this above duplication step, if you change maps, all your hotkeys that were originally placed and moved around when you set up your CCS mode will be removed, and you’ll have an empty hotbar.
After Changing Around for the First Time, if you Change Control Schemes Again
- Your Controller scheme will have retained any original hotkeys you placed, even after dealing with the first scenario and truly reorganizing your other control scheme’s hotbars.
- If you change any hotkeys around on your CCS, any overlapping (in regard to their corresponding CCS and hotbar placement) hotkeys will be erased on your normal bar upon map change.
Edit: It sometimes erases hotkeys, as well as rearrange them when dealing with the second scenario.
