So, after the news of the korean open beta and the new trailer that focus most in the 200+ stuff, looks like the game will be launched without many changes in the content we already have in this beta. How do you guys fell about the 1-200 game content so far? Is it going to be pleasant to play or is it going to bore you after some time and make you only want to reach the end game? How about secondary characters, as the game and content are right now, are you going to create secondary characters?
That’s what a boring game makes you want to do, play it even more to reach ‘end game’?
That’s… bizarre.
A boring game makes me want to not play it… which sadly is the case here. Shame too, since the game is so freaking beautifull.
From the quote above i take you do think we will hit OB after this CBT? Unless IMC come here and say that they did a huge revamp on the game then maybe, but even so i highly doubt IMC is that stupid to go OB without even doing another test (CBT) after huge improvements, so yeah, its more CBT for international version.
The bug fixes, class balancing and maybe atribute changes for sure are going to happen, but the game itself has a slim chance of being changed till the release. For what I see, especially with the korean open beta this year, the game will be ready for launch really really soon. That is why I am asking about the content.
In it’s current stage I feel it’s pretty boring, it’s linear progression through fields following quest markers. The same thing as FFXIV and other MMO’s a few pretentious ToSfans love to rag on. It opens up the higher you get with Mercenary Quests & Party Quests which can actually be fun if they continue adding interesting mechanics to each one.
It has potential it’s just really boring atm.
I love the game, especially the combat and class combination system but I guess I’m in the minority here.
You know that there is 2 different teams working on the game right? One for the Korean version and one for ours, Korean version is way more polished than ours, that’s why they are going to OB now.[quote=“StonerSunshine, post:5, topic:115871”]

I saw some fun quests, specially that one in Steele Road where we have to kick the trunk monsters into the fire, man i had a good laugh with my friend on that quest. As you say, the game have tons of potential, i do hope IMC make good use of the mechanics this game can offer.
The game we have and what korea got is not the same lvl of content/suport.we will have at last one more closed beta.
I think that the current content so far is overall quite boring.
The bosses right now are a complete joke.
The way of forced grinding is bad to say the least.
The quests themselves are overall very repetitive and stale.
And some of the mobs looks almost copy-pasted.
On the upside though the visuals are appealing, The audio is great. The main story line is quite interesting and lastly there are alot of hidden areas and things to explore.
If this was a final version instead of a beta, I would probably not play it.
most of the bosses need to be adjusted for when you face them and maybe adjusted for if you are in a group.
only 4 bosses found so far are a pain and only 3 that seemed just right. most are to easy and 2 seem almost impossible (i won).
a bear thing with mallets and a worm in the same area are to hard. no place to move and wide aoe attacks + traps or adds its just sadistic to put something like that in the game out of nowhere the learning curve spikes .
the angle statue thingy was a chore with ranged since it had endless adds and constantly spawned traps on itself and all over the map and briar was the only boss i fought in a group and they all died at least 1 time . i didnt but did get hit a few times pretty hard
the male demon was perfect. it forced me to move a lot. a ghost thing with telekenesis was good but you could drop the fire ball spawn it does nothing , the scorpion is good though with the endless mobs its about having enough potions at least if your not using a melee
most of the bosses are very simple and traps either are ineffective since the ai is a joke for them or its to hard because the ai + its specific attacks+ no room to move is to much
but to be honest bosses are not the selling point. its made by some one who worked on ragnarok online and it shows. ragnarok online 2 failed to please the fans. will this bring in wow players who dont want to buy another expansion? probably not they go to FF14 but it will probably survive
I’m gonna put my money on this game’s potential.
I have no problems with grinding, but I kinda think that there’s an overwhelming and kinda unecessary amout of quests for a game with only 200 out of 600 levels. That gets boring fast.
That said, as you level, quests start getting scarce and the need for grinding rises, so if it keeps like this 200+ then I guess it could be ok.
