Hi guys! I would like to hear your comments regarding the build for a Falconer that I’m thinking. I’m planning to build a Falconer focused on the Str and Con stats while equipping a crossbow and a shield for added defense. Maybe I would go Archer>QS>Hunter C3>Falconer. This is pretty much similar to the other falconer builds which utilizes the use of companion and the falcon for their offense but I want a higher survivability rate compared to other builds which focuses on dex. It’s a patient build, but works somewhat and is nice if you play on your own ( didn’t really party much) .
I went this path, and i’ll just say that it’s probably the least fast in terms of fighting. i did this path but hunter 1 was great because pet was hitting for a lot with basic attacks and rush dog + the auto rush, but it starts to feel as though it falls off after a while. c2 the damage is still good from the pet but you’re still going to be lacking on some offensive abilities for yourself. i did pure str into maybe 30 con which was enough to let me survive some larger hits when i would mess up my positioning eventually grew to hate stone shot too but i guess it’s because i prefer the 2h bows to crossbows.
i’m guessing what you’re going for in this build is auto attack heavy with commanding some minions?
all i can say is if you haven’t tried out quarrel yet, try it out and see if you enjoy it, if not you’d probably want to look at the rangers or archer 2 skills to see if there’s anything they can offer that qs doesn’t since atm you won’t have anything major to protect yourself outside of a pavise to use as a knockback / decoy.
all i can say is it works if you can put in the effort! but i sincerely hope that they give some updates for the AI because sometimes it would drive me nuts. one-hitting those immobile objects is fun sometimes, but i guess it’s not intended either :P.
I don’t think hunter skills work with the falcon. So you’d end up wasting 3 ranks since you can’t use two companions at once.
You have both the falcon and companion out at the same time, they do not interfere with one another.

Huh, that contradicts a post I read here a while back. Or maybe it was just extremely badly worded since we have a fair number of foreign players here.

The feeling of being strictly worse than necros/sorcs have returned.
Currently testing out this build and yeah it would really take some time to level it up compared to other skill builds.
