I didn’t thought of this, what if you have a cata and a SReiter… 4 slots ?
Or a hunter/falconer - 3 slots for 1 toon. It is definitely weird.

yeah companion takes a spot. i killed 1 of my companion because of this… However from what i read falcon doesnt take any spot… but I would need someone to confirm this
You can have a falcon and a normal pet at the same time.
