Companion Owners, share your experiances

I’m interested in the companions in the game. Currently saving, or trying to, enough gold to get one of them. Then I hear there is a guild only companion as well.

Can I hear about them from those who use them? Are they all the same with just somewhat different stats and looks or are they unique with thier own skills?

-> Sits down for a bonfire break to recover SP
-> Companion randomly derps and runs into a mob for no reason
-> Turns off companion, you dirty little brat.

On a serious note, they’re good for team levels to gain bonus exp, or can help boost your new character since you can pass them around.

Stats of Vel and Hoglan differ a little, vel has more def and hp, hoglan has more accuracy and attack.

I have the two and they are the most wortless companions I ever saw in a game

They dont do damage, dont tank monsters when you need it, they ■■■■ up the quest sometimes (Like “Kill x monsters inside this tiny circle” and they keep pushing the agro to them and leaving the circle), their stamina is worthless, they take a LONG time to attack, so, if the monster walk 2 feets your companion gonna miss their weak attack

They are useful only to increase the Team Level for the bonus EXP

People say they help your low level characters, but no, they take too long to do damage and like I said, the damage isnt high, you can do the same damage with 2 hits

Buy a Token in the market or any other thing, dont buy a companion, its worthless

Pets have the weirdest aggro. When you set up a big AoE in front of you, monsters instead beeline for your pet in an instant, identifying them as the bigger threat (that deals 1 damage on attack). Then when you’re questing around, they don’t give a ■■■■ and interrupt you constantly while you’re trying to hit those 2.0s and 3.0s.

This… is discouraging. The companions and summoners are what drew me to the game.

Companion is OP when u rise them high then give to your flesh char.

they are crappy like people are saying, however as a hunter/falconeer they are acceptable. you still push out the dps with them and get to play a class like no other.

Interesting. :wolf: :wolf:

I quite love mine… The bosses usually go for my pet first, unless he’s out of hp… =P And yes, it helps a lot when I start fresh chars…

But I usually keep him when I need to lure mobs… He distracts them too much… :joy:
