hunter c1, im raising and rushing to hunter C1 just to get the pet and not pay 110k
So.
I TESTED a few things.
This is my fidning.
Pet DPS isnāt true damage. Def reduces it!
Itās neutral damage! Hitās all eqaul.
Critās are 1,5 times the normal atk roughly.
Auto Rush Dog is about 30~40% of the basic hits.
Other hits are small ones of 80 dps atm or the double of that (def deduction high atm xD).
Pet doesnt get their atk deduced by ātoo high level monster for you to farmā.
Pet Health doesnt show correctly, when damaged.
RUsh dog can be buggy, when using against fast moving bosses. Tried to solo a few only with rushdog and auto atk ā¦ worked.
So hereās a thing i found.
Petās can kill stuff 60 level above them.
I went and tried it out against somekind of 120 insect type which doesnt have that much hp.
I do 500 dps on it with rushdog. And crit 700something.
But the eva rate of my pet isnt good enough, If i dont end it fast. It will die so swifty :D. I managed to kill 3, before the hits accumulated. 1,5k hit damage from enemys ā¦ hurts.
I got an 12% exp boost from that farming try.
I will try this again when i upped the eva of my pet a bit more.
Specificaly, you can aggro mobs with your pet. If he does more dps or is higher level, he automatically pulls more aggro.
Anyone got an cd reduction char who could support me a bit xD?
Iām 100% sure, the only reason we cant fight high leveld mobs, is that āNono you donātā from developers which is written on the red color in small letters.

Iām really happy about going hunter.
Just so sadā¦ that you canāt increase rush dog with attributes.
But the high stun on it ā¦ with a 10% chance is op. If i ever go pvp xD. Literally 6 seconds per attribute.
Iām atm going with an 48 Spr 60 dex build.
Level 65. Still going to ge protas boots /trousers soon ā¦
My Sp is about 1200. I can spam oblique rather nicely.
As long as i dont fight high crit resit enemys. I crit about 2/3 times.
I laughed so hard. When i crited Operorās with 1700 dps xD. At level 58.
Twonahdned bow attributes (+100% atk damage)+ oblique attribute 25%.
Atm crit Oblique build, needs some downtime to either recover sp in 20 seconds per bonfire.
Or i just sit down at kneeling stance, and make auto atks do my work. While pet procs rush dog for free.
Iām close to the next grind area. Just questing a bit, then i will grind at Hallowventers like a mad man.
Low crit resits targets with 3,5k hp. Higher leveld then me ā¦ and nice base exp and job exp xD.
ANd thatās just someone with too much money.
Thereās a few people who afk farm 24/7 a day.
One reason they decreased prizes of loot and increased others ā¦ and ābuggedā repair.
maybe true but if there is a possibility to get 3 pet at the same time that should be great ā¦ mainly if they gain the passiv rush dog ability i would really like to try but ā¦ money money money T.T and now iām thinking if kneeling shot could be a nice beggar skill T.T
The problem with this dream is that the pets would also take up 3 slots in your lodge. Of course, in CBT you can buy lodge space and in OBT/actual game if you can afford lodge space go wild, but for those of us who can only afford to play free it might be a little sad. XD

Actually most things are right, but there are some pointsā¦
- Yes, pet basic atacks arenāt true damage. Rush Dogās damage is.
- Critās are 1.5 because pets donāt have the crit atack attribute.
- Yes they suffer from level penalties (damage wise). You will do 1 damage to high level mobs, unless using rush dogās true damage. They get full exp from any mob however.
Agree with both bugs, rush dog and pet health. We have a problem with rush dog actually, because the range to use the skill is higher than the range the pet goes from you. If you use it at max range, the pet does not go. About petās health, changing maps appears to solve it. It occurs usually after the pet dies.
And to add:
- Rush dogās skill can be used to break quests things like altars that need to be damaged. Usually the player do 1 fixed damage per atack to them, but you can instantly finish those quests.
- You can easily make a hunter to get a free companion ā-ā
- If your pet is using one skill like coursing and you try to use another, he will keep in the current skill but the other will go on cooldown, wasting time
but since the falcon can be called with a skill you can get him with another pet ā¦ at least it was woth trying 
First off just wanna say this thread is great, I personally was worried about Hunter since thereās been a lot of problems with classes that depend on AIs, but it seems like thats limited to summon classes, not pet ones.
Thanks for running these tests and contributing the information too. Itās definitely going to help out prospective Hunters in the future.

My pet is lv 97, i just made my alt and transfer it to it, Im in OVERKILL xp heaven. Pet on a rampage, im AFK looking at forums 
If u had a pet on your main class, and switched to hunter for your second classā¦ Well i invested about 5 mil silver into it and ummā¦ 255% overkills constantly atm. So for boosting ur alts AFK or even not AFK, and if ur alt is a hunter as wellā¦ Ezmode grinding/leveling/whatever.
Now imagine a lvl 600 pet with maxed out stats though silverpayments, switched onto your brand new lvl 1 archer-hunterwannabe character. You are gonna one shot alot of bosssesā¦ Might even overkill a boss or two. And soloing low lvl worldbosses IS possible. With pet only. Soā¦ Yeahā¦
Honestly though, what exactly are you overkilling? What mob levels? Make a vid of that. I was wondering how good a pet can be if you have the proper amount of money and a good level. Show stats of it too if you can.
Im a circle 2 hunter so I know my share about it. The problem for hunters is really in the fact your pet is always behind in levels due to exp cards. If those added xp/ a portion of xp to the pet then it would be fine but as is I needed to do quite a bit of grinding to get it to where he is - level 97 if I remember correctly. While Iām 127 so you can imagine how underwhelming he is.
Im tempted to leave him overnight while autoattacking just to have him level up when I sleep.
Well yeah i can imagine trying to be a hunter with a fresh chara and new pet, the pet will level painfully slow and wont be able to keep up to your level while you grind. This is a problem. HOWEVER, if u play a class like i did (sword > pelt > hop > hop > squire >squire) my idea before making a hunter was to make a character that would earn me money and be strong at solo grinding/questing and even stronger in a duo (with my girlfriend shes playing a monk with max dmg buffs). So i used that to get my pet to 97 (main is 170+ now) and boost its stats with silver. Then transfered it onto a new character which is lvl 1, but the pet is 97 with OP stats. So atm the pet over kills everything. Which is making my alt hunter level extremely fast (lvl 68 in a day or so). Basically a good pet is ideal for boosting secondary characters.
Yup, I concluded that much. It will fall of eventually regardless of how much money you put in but at least its a good helper for your next classes.
Mind showing the stats of it? I invested around a million into my companion by now, Iām wondering how far I could get if I had enough money.
Also, whats the price for attributes after you invested 5m?
I have a Question here. there are 3 pets available on the NPC are all of them the same? and are all of them can attack and has the same benefits? or the other might be useless such as the hawk? (if you are not a hunter)
Only falconer can use Hawk. Other 2 are same stats as far as I know but donāt quote me.
In other news, hunter is ā ā ā ā . Drag my fed to fk pet from my main onto hunter class and it still sucks.
Is coursing and poiting working on boss mobs? it maybe a stuped question, but every time i use the skills it deasnāt show the debuff icon on the boss healtbar
