Combat Pally [Help]

Heya guys I really wanted to make a Combat Pally but I cant decide on a few mayor factors so perhaps some of you that know the game better can help me out.
First of all stat distribution I am planning to PvP/GvG with this so I guess you certainly need DEX to hit autos/skills right? But how much DEX is recommended for minimum? Also STR for damage ofc and CON for Tankyness but does a Pally also need SPR/INT if yes how much give or take. OTM I was thinking something of STR/DEX/CON/SPR 3:2:1:1 maybe? Or do I widen up my stats to much this way.

Secondly which circles have the better damage buffs?
I will post 2 example builds so we can compare then. First of we have the version with Krivis

Krivis Pally:


This builds has Aukuras for HP Recovery, Zalciai that buffs Crit Attack and Crit Resist and Divine Stigma as Buffs and Zaibas as an attack skill. With this verison however I was wondering is Divine Stigma worth it? Having an almost constant uptime of STR/INT+ 78 and do you need Daino to increase overall buff limits?

And for the other build I had the Priest circles in mind

Priest Pally:


This build has Aspersion and Stone Skin for defensive buffs and Blessing, Sacrament for offensive buffs worth noting here how good is Monstrance?? Is it better to take it over a few points of Sacrement/Blessing? Also prob wanna fit in a Revive point as well but not sure for what.

ALSO how good is the Pally skill Conviction anyways?? Is it worth to spend 5 points in or is it better to max out EleResist or Restoration?

TL;DR: Which circles would be better for a Combat Pally Priest vs Krivis and what would be a good stat optimization?

If you can go to circle6.
In my opinion, you don’t need to finish basic circle, like krivis or priest at C7 just pick more advance Circle

Both are rubbish, not to mention that paladin has a horrible reputation for pvp.

There’s plenty of pala threads that have the answers you seek, i see no need to repeat it.

Why is pally so bad for PvP then??

->Horrible cast time on Smite,horrible dmgas well against non Demon/Mutant
->No long ranged threat/ ways to catch up to an Archer/Wiz to do dmg
->Barrier doesnt stop people in PvP from entering it, so it’s just a useless zone of some +MDEF
->Resist Elements only being somewhat usefull against Wizards, resorting only to the chance to null the damage since 112 element defence is only reducing the element damage you take by 112(which is a pretty low amount considering Wiz’s damage).

  • Barrier’s knock back doesn’t work in pvp, allegedly.
  • Conversion and turn undead are entirely useless in pvp.
  • Melee attacks in general are hard to hit when enemies are kiting. (and due to stone majority of enemies in pvp atm are wizards/clerics )
  • Smite is even worse as it has a charge up time, and it is your main dmg skill.
  • Paladin dmg only excels vs demons and mutants.
  • Your dmg is easily countered by stone skin.
  • Your defenses aren’t that good at all.

It’s not exactly impossible, but it has almost nothing going for it. Unless turn undead now works on players that is, but I’ve seen no evidence of that.

Oh srsly Barrier doesnt stop people… That was kinda my selling point to the whole skill thats pretty dumb then yea hmmm what cleric classes do excell in pvp then??

Kabbalist,Plague Doctor,Priest c3,Monk and Bokor excell in PvP.
Dievis also prettygood as I’ve heard.
