Ok, now its my time to ask silly questions. The launcher is not working, failing with what you can see in pictures 1 & 2
On this one it says that the system couldn’t find the environment (or ambience) file that was pointed (or entered)
I did some research on this forum and figured out that it’s probably because I’m using Windows XP on which Visual C++ 2015 can’t be installed? Does this really mean that ToS is dead for me untill I update my Windows? Here is the list of what I have on my PC:
I followed number of suggestions about fixing the game but they won’t work:
- steam / steam apps / common / tree of savior / release / release.revision.txt (changed to various digit combinations I have found throughout topics)
- re-installed both steam and TOS itself for four times into different directions avoiding Cyrillic figures
- read numerous threads by greyhiem and Krystal and tried to act accordingly
- verified the integrity of the files, it showed that 3 files are being reacquired. then I tried to run the game again after it had finished downloading those 3 files. nothing changed
- I sacrificed a virgin as well
