Depends on which stats you focus on.
Taoist will be a whole lot better if you’re focusing on SPR since you will lack accuracy, attack speed, critical rate and Strike debuffs from Monk/Conviction of Paladin to improve your physical damageoutput.
Taoist features the better overall damageskill (Creeping Death Charm; it’s at the moment the skill with the highest possible future damage output at level 16, 35136% with 31 seconds CD, that’s ~ 2,3 times as much damage as level 16 Godsmash deals with blunt bonus and full 50% attribute included in the same time; In fact, if you combine the whole DPS of all Inquisitor C1 skills at level 16 per 30 seconds considering all boni & full 50% attribute, you get a total output of 36446%; compared to level 16 Creeping Death Charm, that’s a difference of only 1310%, but impossible on the Inquisitors side since he’s got only 45 skillpoints throughout 3 Circles, not 60) and also another attack buff (Hidden Potential) at C2, which will not only improve your damage (as it boosts your and your parties attack and matk by a random amount) but also your support capabilities.
Also, the new attack skills Entrenchment and Hurling at C2 will help you quite a bit with dealing damage, while you get your main damage from 1 simple skill (Creeping Death Charm) that doesn’t even require an enhancement attribute to be strong and the maximum exploitation of bonus damage from Blessing, as the skill has by far the most possible hits of all skills (24 at level 6, 44 at level 11 and 64 at level 16; if your Blessing adds e.g. around 2,5k damage, that’s 110k additional damage per charm at level 11, for a total of 330k per CD period [31 seconds]).
See thread just below this.
This is precisely my build (i.e. Inquisitor route). Cleric3 Chinq’s DPS is quite formidable, especially if you get Aspersion 15 and Exo-Magnus. A Cleric 3 Chinq though is a bit unpopular though, as most people say that Heal 15 is overkill. However, I went that route precisely to ease points off Mass Heal so I can invest a bit in Aspersion. You have a diverse damage skill arsenal: Wheel-AA, Exo-Magnus, Heal “mines”, and Cure DOT. You can also solo Uphill with ease.
That, and you can also support quite competently because of Heal 15, Revive, Resurrect, and Mass Heal (though it depends on skill points allocation, as I am also re-tweaking mine).
