I currently have a cleric, priest3, chaplain and I’m planning to pick up PD2 for ranks 7 and 8. I’m wondering what is the best choice for rank 6 between cleric and bokor.
I’m aiming for a support build with good AoE damage BUT I am willing to sacrifice the support that cleric2 brings if one circle of bokor is needed to play PD2 efficiently.
So is bokor necessary for optimal Incinerate uptime? Also, what would be my main sources of status ailments without having bokor?
Hmmm… Chaplain doesn’t seem to combo very well with PD 2’s Incinerate / Plague Vapors…
Bokor c1 will only give you hex. Effigy lv 5 won’t even be that strong.
You can use Plague Vape as a debuff of it’s own to cast Incinerate on top of it, so you don’t really need hex. Except when you’re PD 1.
You don’t really have any other debuffs except from deprotected zone and monstrance. Both suck and aren’t worth more than 1 point, though… You also can’t use Deprotected Zone as a debuff to be spreaded through pandemic cause it will instantly end if the monster is outside deprotected area. Your best bet would be monstrance… Which is kinda annoying to aim with.
Incinerate will not work if the enemy doesn’t have at least 1 debuff.
Probably better you just pick cleric c2 for more heals and Cure / Divine Might / Safety Zone. But then you’ll have to rely on Monstrance lv 1 as a debuff for incinerate at least until you reach PD 2.

Oh wait, you also have exorcise. Not sure if you can spread it through pandemic to be able to use Incinerate, though…

Bokor or Hex isn’t necessary for PD. Hex just helps cause it’s a short cooldown debuff that is easy to use and spread. Most people go Bokor 3 for Effigy, and not Hex, though.
If you really want to sacrifice your supportiveness, consider taking Krivis 1 for Zalciai debuff + Aukuras debuff + Daino + Lv 5 Zaibas or Diev 1 for Laima (2 debuffs) and Vakarine (free warps). As a chaplain, I would probably go for Krivis as Daino is somewhat important to you (but then again, remember, no cleric c2 awesome heals!).
Each debuff will add 2 seconds to Incinerate.
EDIT3:
You can also pick Pardoner c1 for Discerning Evil and +10 seconds debuff on both Plague Vape and Incineration. This might be the best option for you if you wish to sacrifice everything (daino, heals, free warp) for more overall damage.
bokor c1 isnt strong late game, bokor really only shines at c3. go pardoner or cleric2
