Cleric paladin full str. works?

I want to make a paladin in the future, but i want a cleric very strong, with sword and all that i have rights. but im toooo worried about it, because i think that the other spells doesn’t will be strong as well, if i up attack in the build instead magic things. So, anyone have an idea for me, about class that i have to get until paladin and distribuition points?

i`m doing this, its gonna be tough until u reach C4. but its doable, u have low dps but high survivability. u can literally stand still and auto attack bosses with bless/d zone and heal yourself when needed.

u can also support groups if in a party, bless and some heal helps alot.

i recommend, cleric>cleric>priest>paly>paly>paly

just go pure int. Then buy a stat reset scroll and change it to str.

sanp2p, wouldn’t Priest circle 2 be much better than Cleric circle 2? Sacrament allowing the double dipping of Blessing (for both you and your party), Mass Heal, and Revive seem too good to give up.

Pretty much what miles said.

Priest buffs auto attacks the most out of all cleric classes, mainly due to sacrament’s second hit for auto attacks. And paladins rely on auto attacks the most due to their limited amount of attack skills. Cleric2 on the other hand only adds what, +1 to all skills? That doesn’t even compare.
A decent lvl aspersion should also be brilliant for a paladin, +40% def boost with ease.

So you’d end up with a cleric/priest2/paladin3 with either str/con or str/dex/con statwise.

Doing exactly that at the moment, works really well. Pure Str + Blessing/Sacrament is devestating everything right now.

For a build like this one. http://www.tosbase.com/tools/skill-simulator/build/q3nlo0mgx2/ what do you recommend I put stats into?

Sighs. cmon anyone? Please?

@KristianCamacho, @alexandrious2001 full str works… for PVE. Try to at least get some dex (hello, missing attacks ain’t fun) and con (just to be on the safe side). When the two are covered, you’re good to go. More str for ya!
Anyway the stat might look like this --> 2str 1dex 1con. This should be a fool-proof build. Hey, you’ll spot it anywhere it’s somewhat consensual.

Wait, here’s a crazy idea: get Krivis3 and Zalciai15, drop 1 point off str and put that to spr so it’s like 1str 1spr 1dex 1con. Zalciai should boost the crit attack and everything else. Priests are abundant–you WILL encounter at least one on the road. Afterall, people won’t “hire” Paladins when they haven’t got their backs covered by some really dedicated Cleric3-Priest3 dude.

Your call.

If you get Mass Heal off the Priest c2 you’re good to go cause that has a component that scales off max HP, which means that no matter what, you will always heal 1/5th of their HP with it. You COULD get more Int/Spr to make it better but its not necessary. So something like 2 SPR/ 1 CON/ STR sounds good for doing damage, healing well, and being able to take hits pretty well.

Sounds very versatile, id have to sacrifice some buffing power but getting a bigger immediate heal is worth it, specially if it goes off my own HP. Should any points be placed into Dex or would Monstrance take care of that? Also should I take Heal at all or save those skill points to place into further stuff?

Monstrance will handle those dex needs, especially with c2 Priest. As a Paladin you already have tons of stats that are important, no need to add dex to the mix. I also do recommend heal, even the base heal amount at 5/5 is pretty decent and the tiles last for a while so people can step into them later if they need it. Plus it does damage, however little, so that’s nice.

I played around with some stat reset scrolls, and pure str or pure dex seem to work well with a dmg paladin. And I really mean every statpoint goes in str or dex. I had no problems hitting the monsters despite going full str, you also dont’t need con because even your base 5/5 Heal heals you to full health without a single point in int/spr. So if you properly dodge and dont have a high latency it should be no problem even against hard bosses.

Generally I would recommend pure str for auto attack builds and pure dex for skill builds. Paladin is kind of a in between… His autoattacks are really strong because of Sacrament + Blessing, and Smite alone has a very low cooldown and overheat. I guess you can just try both with scrolls and decide for yourself. If you go dex though, dont forget to socket a red gem into your gloves and star gems into your weapons for crit attack. Correct gear is very important for full dex, or it wont work.

I played both a barbarian and a paladin to 80+ and you have to be aware that a paladin will probably never hit as hard as a barbarian, because you cannot equip a 2h weapon, but your decent heals and excellent group dmg buffs will make up for it.
