Hi community! I need some good advise on my custom build on Off-support Chaplain But highly not sure how to decide my build and need some in-depth info about how things worth while in my build so please help me out!

As current patch, High lv of Blessing is very strong with SPR build so I plan to play around Con:Spr 1:3 or 1:2.
This build is focus on pure PvE. What I plan are around this build.

Reason for each build when finalize will work like this.

Cleric 2 : For optimal healing tiles, Safety Zone and Divine might.

Priest 3 : For Chaplain and highly unstable about my decision as you can see I still left 15 point to invest and will be ask up-next in paragraph.

Krivis1 : [Highly personal reason] As I already have couple of friends playing PD so I like some differentiation, With Krivis I got Daino for whole reason for this rank and another just filler skill - I don’t really like to supply Daino-scroll that much and none of my friends play these Simony build, with my pretty-stingy habit I need to conserve my silver resource for any urgent need // With this buff, I hardly need to worry about most of party buff count at all.

  • What I really need advise is …
  1. Is Maxed Aspersion really useful for defensive buff against bosses’n mobs later in game ?
  2. If I’m not max out Aspersion, I plan to split them among Revive and Mass Heal for more sustainable and more second wind’s breath - less offensive Aspergillum and less defensive buff, would this be another nice pick ?
  3. Which do you think are more optimal in support role by two choice above ?
  4. If I’ll maxed Aspersion for offensive-effectiveness reason, Do maxed and Lv1 Have much different dps out put for Aspergillum ?
  5. Should I really drop Krivis just for Daino alone and pick more worth-while in-rank class ?

Is Chaplain still a solid, viable Rank 5 after Priest 3? Or is there any other alternative?

1 from what i’ve seen/read amx aspersion is not eally optimal, unless you are doing it for the dmg on aspergillum. the defense scalling is not that great.

2 revive around lvl 5 should give enough ivuln. time for them to be healed. as for mass heal… dunno, it is a good skill lvl 10, but as you already have heal 10…

3 i’d go for reviv and mass heal for supporting.

4 see it for yourself on the simulator. it is close 300 base dmg difference, with atribute at 100% would be a 600 dmg. not THAT great of a difference, specially if you take higher lvl mobs hp in consideration. but still. as this is your only dps source you might consider putting some points into.

5 on a high spr build zalciai becomes quite powerfull actually, giving your party 100% crit while also boosting a little bit of their crit atack. on a support perspective, it is a viable choice for sure. but you may want to wait for rank 8 to be revealed this fryday or the next, so we get an idea of what is coming for clerics…

  1. 100% damage negation worth much more than reducing damage (block, dodge, CC, invulnerability). it’s either (1) screw up and almost rekt or (2) stay full health. [Edit] Why do I get hit for so much more when my gear breaks? pdef might be worth more than i think

  2. like @leonardo.lmfl said, revive ~5 is sufficient. in support to my opinion from point 1, in panic situations, mass heal >>> heal so max it… also no walking to heal tiles = moar deeps

  3. wait for rank 8 huehuehue. tho as off support, chap druid with INT is also an option (sterea trofh too stronk)

  4. u will spend like half ur time to heal, buff, run, etc. so offensive-wise it’s not that effective.

  5. i’d rather drop aspersion, monstrance, or even sacrament and last rites (in party) rather than wasting one rank for daino lol. tho idk maybe zalciai might be worth it.

As my perspective mostly focus on myself, I do overlooked many option I can do within party run but surely I’ll see for R8 overlook for priest before pre-planing my build again!

You do not always need R7 job, but wasting R7 for Krivis seems pretty useless.

This build would be better going for R6 Krivis and then R7 PD.

R7 for Krivis is a waste of Rank IMO. :slight_smile:

Let’s see what comes next for R8 classes.

15 Aspersion is good, but you can just buy it from a pardoner before you go to the boss or out hunting. For end-game it is not that useful.

Revive 3-4 is fine for its purpose which is to give some breathing room in case someone takes fatal damage. Mass Heal is a 0 or 10 ability IMO, the added skill points are needed, since most of its healing is based on the recipent’s HP. For PVE, it is really not needed as long as you have some INT to augment your heal.[quote=“tenraio, post:1, topic:316278”]

If you can fit it in. Mass Heal 10 is a life saver, and is the more optimal support option.

Max Aspersion will do a heck of a lot more damage, but only on 1 hit of your damage. I would recommend getting blessing 15 instead and boosting its damage with SPR/INT, since that will give you returns on all of your hits AND everyone else in your party. 15 Aspersion is very selfish, fine if you plan to solo, not great for parties. You can get away with 1 in it, if your primary role is support.

Krivis 1 is a mixed bag. I don’t think it is a good rank 7 option. You would be better suited picking a r7 class like PD or Kabbalist. Daino alone is not worth missing out on Ein Sof or status immunities/Healing Factor.

For a solid heal and support build, I would say it is. You miss out on the extra options from a R7 class, but because you dont have to care about bufflimits anymore, your base classes become stronger.

The scaling on Aspersion for Aspergillum isnt that good truth be told. I would say the bonus to defense has greater value when deciding to max it.

That said, I would say Mass Heal is far more important then Aspersion, in any kind of Priest build.

It is a tough call to make. I went without Krivis for my Chaplain and I just prioritize which buffs are needed, when they are needed.

i.e. I save Revive for ‘oh ■■■■’ moments, or stone skin for when there is a large mob of physical dmg. I only use Sac and Last rites if there are very few buffing classes in the group.

Hmmm, some situational buff usage defeats the purpose of getting the skills in the first place. Since we talk about a SPR build, all the more reason to take Krivis.

The current R7 system puts players into a kind of deadlock. You already mentioned the need of Cleric2 for healing. Combining that with Krivis would mean dropping the R7 class in favor of having Chaplain.

You should consider dropping Chaplain on the following thought: If you want more support, drop it. If you want more solo power, keep it.

one thing you folks arent factoring in is buffs outside of your own. try playing with a chrono or thaum without diano… also you got self buffs from classes that will knock off buffs as well . ive played with my catapharact tank and run into this issue many times. you got guardian ,concentrate , finestra , trott and swashbuckle. that doesnt leave much room for buffs besides my own. now add a chrono and priest better not cast anything but heal or hes gonna get bished at oh and that rank 7 healing factor no im not gonna step on it and get another buff.

i currently play cleric 1,priest 3 ,chaplin ,krivis 1 ,plague doc. im lvl 267 and i havent had any issues healing anything in game including lvl 280 Saluus convent.theres times i wish i didnt go chaplin and got cleric 2 but krivis… god no. diano is the most important buff in the game plain and simple.

I am a 280 player and I went for a build like that as well.

I don’t regret taking Chaplain because my autoattacks help me a lot when I have to solo. If I had gone for Cleric 2 I would have to party pretty much all the time.

Cleric 1 + Mass Heal at least 7/10 does the job.

The problem is that people wanna things in their way only.

I am really looking forward to having a new good class incoming. :yum:

Yeah i have mass heal 10, heal 6 with gem ,revive 7 and healing factor 5. i get omg no cleric 2 you cant come every so often but fk it. i can solo storage and maven with chaplin . i can solo merc missions etc. i love my char and im sticking with him
