Classes idea, make more engaging?

Really enjoyed the game, but I felt the class advancement was ether to easy, or not engaging enough. It was chose your class, teleport to npc, do one quest and boom, new class.

I think maybe if we made the class advancement more engaging is taking out the teleport feature for that quest. instead we need to remember the npc (since most times class npcs had their master title underneath) that way it encourages more exploration and talking to side npcs. instead of being able to instantly teleport next to them.

For the quest, it just felt so, weak. we were not engaging in becoming this new class, like what are the goals for the class like the goal to defeat the undead like a cleric type class, or protect the innocence (a paladin class), etc… and more story content to make them feel more unique rather then a simply power up. class advancement is a perfect chance for more world building.

Also for maybe unique hidden class only become available depending on the characters achievments and stats. like a certain amount of monster type kills. or the amount of criticals you’ve done throughout the games, to what skill you use the most, or the unique distribution of stats. allowing for classes to open up more uniquely.

Sorry for the long post but just wanted to shout out a idea.

honestly I’d agree with you that compared to older games, the idea of a job advancement quest has been dumbed down a lot. it’ll be nice if it was possible, but realistically speaking ToS has 80 classes so there’s only so much they can do.

too little too late

Yea that is true, well at least maybe take out the teleport feature possibly.

i aggree about taking out the teleportation feature, its really make the advancement class really easy

just for the record, the current class advancement quests was reworked to make it easier due to complaints in korea saying npcs are too far, hard to find etc… soooo…

After 10 Ranks of picking jobs and skills i think this will be more then interesting enough.

Well it also could get muddy and loss the appeal. I love the idea of so many classes but the whole point of it is to be unique and custom to the player. Anyway I was just commenting that the class advancement felt weak and didn’t make it rewarding to final achieve a new class.
