Tree of Savior Forum

Class pick decision (newbie)

Hey
I actually started playing tree of savior and have 68 hours steam-playtime.
The guides are interesting but not help so much because i can’t decide to a build without known the end content.
Normally i playing some kind of hybrid classes or dmg supporters.
My goal is to be good at the nearly endgame (the early game or the cost doesn’t matter)

I want to know:
Which class combinations is good at dmg and support(or tank and dmg)? Solo and Group play recommended
Stats and some classes seems to be bad scaling at endgame right? which is the right pick to don’t fall off with dmg
High level partys just searching for any dd or for certain classes like
swordsman dd / wizard dd… or just the dmg counts ?(example http://www.tosbase.com/tools/skill-simu … emxlfxobw/ )

Just recommend me something what is stable at endgame witch some way to customization (dont like shields and pref. swordsman class)

Thanks for response

This is the hardest task in this game. The answers are pick the classes you like or pick what people want. Some people will advice you to pick the class you like because this game change a lot of thing and the max level content now still is not the end game. Some people will give you a good build because they want you to learn from the good build before you can make your own build.

For me, I want to give you a good wizard build but after R8 came, wizard build became harder to build. So you might start from Cleric. Various Bokor builds are good for beginner. They can solo and party in PvE much easier than other Cleric.
Cleric 2>Bokor x> xxx
(Ex. Cleric2>Bokor3>Miko or xxx>PD2 or
Cleric2>Bokor2>Diev2>PD2)

Read a bit more on the forum also help.

A magical dmg Cleric is the best choice for various reasons.

  1. Heal10 and Cure10 from Cleric2 are very useful till R8
  2. You can heal, so you never face queue teams without healing.
  3. Depending on your exact build, you can solo missions or dungeon rushes, therefoe less need for playing at peak times.

Aside from Bokor, I can also recommend Krivis3. Had alot of fun playing that one mostly solo.

Well the most notable tank/support skill is Swash Buckling from Peltasta. It’s an easy circle to fit into almost any build. It works best for Murmillos (shield-inclined), Fencers (dagger-inclined), and 1-H Dragoons (shield-inclined… i think) since they won’t need to weapon swap; It also works fine for Doppels (2-H sword), 2-H Dragoons (2-H spear), and Lancers (2-H spear) you will just have to swap weapons when casting it.

There are also some other support skills from Swordsman such as stat reductions (crown, armour breaks etc.), specific-type damage boosts (cleave, high kick, serpentine etc.), drop boosters (jolly roger), and a few CCs (ropes, knockbacks, knockdowns, stuns) but these are things you can get while also getting Swash Buckling.

And since you prefer swordsmen but want something hybrid, maybe you could also look into Paladins and Monks (into Inquisitor). They are physical hybrid classes under the Cleric tree but they usually run with Mace+Shield

Thanks for the answers they pretty useful

im actually playing s2 b2 (way to fencer) and thinking to get Peltasta for Swash Buckling (hope this not ruins this build)
The original build was s2 b3 f3

I also starting a krivis or bokitor as secondary character to play with my girlfriend (really hoping she starts to play tree as savior too =p)

Looking to the future and thanks for the support
(sry for my bad English)
