[Class] Official Sadhu Thread

Few days ago Steparu posted a vid of his level 200 dungeon run. He is Cleric -> c2 Kivri -> c2 Bokor -> Oracle. He is also the only support for the team, unless we count Wugshi and Corsairs as support. Doesn’t seem like they lack a full support, and the two Bokor tiers could easily have been Sadhu.

Having said that, I’m more interested in group PvP anyway. Surely they do not intend to remove OoB damage from group PvP, like discussed in this thread - Sadhu Question! (PvP) ?

Hey guys i was inspired by MrLero to play a Sadhu and it seems very funny to me, im now lvl 38 and grinding chapel.
but i think im not very effective because i went full int build so my auto attks deals no dmg and i only have to spam zaibas and cure for dmg. with cure i cant hit the flying monsters so i only have zaibas i can use the skill 2times in 30 seconds to kill the moster. if i hit them they mostly 1,2 or 3 hit but after this i have run around 30 secs till my skills are ready again and i start from beginning.
does anyone of u have any advice for me how i can improve my grind or is this the only way?

It’s pretty hard until you are a sadhu, especially pure int build. it was extremely annoying to solo especially due to zaibas being the only reliable thing to kill flying enemies and having no output once you’ve blown spells and are on cooldown. Try to find anyone in your level range to team up with to get you on your feet is the only advice i could give, but trust me; when you become a sadhu everything feels worth it.

When you get to lvl 50 try to run the chapel instance ASAP though for some extra levels. When you do become a sadhu you can probably stick around the mausoleum chapel ( torch heaven), it’s popular but efficient. I went there when i first changed and was able to instakill 2/4 of the spawning zones they have in a room.

This may have been answered, but I couldn’t find it in this giant thread.

If you have armor that ads +elemental dmg (ex. boots that give +15 poison dmg), does that increase dmg from OOB?

I can’t really figure out how to gear my Sadhu.

It does. It doesn’t matter what element it is either, it’ll give full damage to each OoB attack.

Are you also spamming heal on them? It does amazing damage.

ofc i do but i need also the heal to heal myself, it also does no dmg to the flying monsters.
I use Cure, Zaibas and Heal for dmg. the dmg output is not the problem only the one i cant hit the flying ones with Cure and Heal, so i only have Zaibas, maybe i should go another stage at chapel to grind, that would be an idea :wink:

if i get a party there it would be so easy to grind there but most ppl just run solo there…in a mmo :sunglasses:

Funny that I was pure SPR Priest C2, and after reset to pure DEX, I don’t find my heal does any worse (100 SPR heals 1008 HP from Mass Heal and 922 HP with 9 SPR). Besides, the worst thing being as a Full Support is that skills are in cooldown. Therefore, regardless you have a Full Support or not, having two people with Heal makes so much difference, as you are allow to make mistake (Mass Heal does not work well on someone who is running with low HP).

Paladin is better in pure support, but I see it better with two versatile healers in a group, where they can react to different situation. And I am not sure there is a pure tank to have a formal five men group. Most likely all five are being versatile on more than two roles, and it can be the Paladin being the tank instead (means you need another healer for backline).

If you’re talking about cleric heals, the formula (if TOSbase is accurate) is based of MaxHP and INT. Mass Heal on the other hand, I’m not familiar with the mechs.

I’d agree on the part where you say 2 healers are better than one. I have been soloing most of the content as a Cleric 1 > Krivis 2 > Sadhu til 100+ as of now. And I find that 2 casts of heals for me is more than enough. Bringing that up to a full party, maybe 2 DPS healers may work just fine if party members don’t faceroll and stand in stupid.

Anyway I find Sadhu quite unplayable in party as it is: Merely because any mage in the party that uses Reflect Shield will make the mobs take you out of OoB state even if in a Safety Zone, and take you out of Fade either.

Subweapons can buff oob damage? like arde dagger?

I thought when a weapon says “fire dmg +x” or something like this,
you had to attack with any fire skill to get this bonus

hummppp im thinking about controlling OOB with mouse and keyboard but its not working. will it be fixed? or will it remain like that? as far as i know its an AA type skill right?! so i hope when i click left button mouse it will AA a mob and auto follow it. sigh -_- now im disappointed in sadhu class. i want to build a PVP type class

Yes, arde dagger boosts your dmg.

Keyboard mode works OK, the mouse mode was designed later, but i’m certain they are aiming to fix these things already.

Does arde dagger buffs the damage for every hit or it gets divided by 3?

Elemental damage, no matter the flavor, adds onto every hit.

Thanks, I tought out of body did a fake 3 hits auto attack, since sometimes it shows up as a single big damage.

I have played a bit with Vashita Siddhi, to see if it will be of use in PvP. During a duel it reduced both current and max HP of my partner. Once it ended, their max HP obviously returned to previous value, while their current HP stayed low. I think this correlated with how Thaumaturge buff on con works - when you gain con you gain max HP, but your current hp remains unaffected.

The fact that you can’t move while it channels is obviously a pain. It also takes some time (0.5s?) before it ‘ticks’. A 4k hit in a decent AoE after a half second channel… Against single targets you are likely better off just auto-attacking. In current 5v5 arena it would be hard to hit multiple targets with it. However if over time PvP maps that force a bit more clumping appear, it could be somewhat viable.

Vashita Siddhi can also be used to pull mobs, that are outside of your OoB range, but this only works on aggro mobs.

This is an annoyance with some skills. Peltasta swashbuckling HP buff works like that too, as well as guard, which is extremely annoying since you can’t always have a nice interval between guard and getting hit.

… Doesn’t seem like they lack a full support yet at the start of the video they are talking about the abundance of deaths they had in the last run. Turning one good run / 5 into a video doesn’t mean its viable (steparu is notorious for this with his pvp videos). if i told you to jump off a bridge with a 20% chance you wouldn’t get hurt would you do it?

Full support is more about the skills you have, not so much the stat assignment.
That and after the abundance of i coins is taken away im sure Resurrection will become more relevant and hence priests more important.

Anyone have a visual sort of comparison on how the distance you can go with Lv5 OOB vs Lv 10 ?
Just curious as to how far we can eventually get to.
