Class leveling speeds

Hey guys,

I played for 5.5 hours last night and got to Level 25 as a Wizard>Cryo.

I was wondering how others are doing and what people generally feel are the fastest/slowest levelers early game - partly because I feel wizards have it rough with high c/d low damage normal atks

Thanks,

~Yuusha

I’d like to know about that too, I plan on using a class to level up very quickly and then use my pet to easily level up my Peltasta/Rodelero.

I went Wiz>Pyro
Played about 6hrs~ and got 26/7
But I mostly soloed and didn’t grindfest for more than 30min (didnt want to spoil the fest :P)

Got to lv 10 in 2 hours. Archer
P/s: The only good thing is i can see my character’s panty.
That keep my spirits up

This kind of comment is the worst thing about video game-related communities.

Anyways, @OP: Took me about 5~6 hours to reach Lv. 17 with my Archer and roughly 10 to reach Lv. 22 with my Cleric.

Dang only took me an hour to hit 16 with my cleric and job change.

Highlander nearing 40 took about 12 hours

I definitely think cleric is leveling is super fast since it can literally 2 shot every enemy I’ve come across sea bosses which take less than a minute to solo.

As of this post, I’m currently at the end of Archer 2, with just one more level before class change to Sapper. I’m level 40, but, admittedly, the last few levels were full of grinding on those poor, poor goatmen archers (aiming for blues, primarily), and that’s despite being with a full group, leveling together.

We’d gotten through basement/1st Floor cathedral quests, but that place is just an instant KO-waiting-to-happen for a squishy character, like an Archer, because its so dense with mobs. RO players with recall Glast Heim. It’s kinda like that. I’m not a fan of the gem dropping, btw. It’s super lame.

So, yeah, it took a while, and I’m almost entirely reliant on potions. Archer can hit very, very hard. They wreck house, and kite very well, but are extremely SP hungry. Maybe it’s because I’m building DEX and crit, but once I’m out of SP, I may as well not be there, the damage drops off so much. I think Oblique Shot costs waaaay too much per use, but is still the best anti-mob skill for the Archer because Multi-shot not only takes time to charge, but also has a very small AoE. That said, Multi-shot, charged, will oneshot basically any monster, even 10+ levels above me.

I’m thinking of starting a cleric. That sustain just looks so appealing.

Really? Clerics are that fast ? I would not have imagined them to be a quick leveling class, what exactly makes them that good ?

I agree with archer is wayyyy too SP hungry, we can’t do aoe damage unless we burn through our SP.
The SP cost on Oblique shot is still reasonable compared to my Quarrel Shooter’s stone shot(both skills have 0 cd, and hit two mobs.) Oblique shot rank 5 costs 18 SP; Stone shot rank 5 costs 42 SP<- I want to cry.

I got to level 28 in about 6.5 hours. I think I got lucky with the blue mobs. Otherwise I would say Quarrel Shooter(Maybe archer in general?) levels on the slow end.

I think Peltasta levels at a good pace for a tanking class if you don’t have tons of retards that decide to “help” you when you use Swash buckling to be able to AoE mobs to actually level at a decent pace.

Clerics can be built with std and int. Meaning they output a lot of damage also. The tiles they make with heal damage enemies each time they touch a tile, sometimes hitting twice. Against bosses those tiles do about 100 damage per tile so… you’re doing 500 damage and since you can use heal twice before cool down, you’re doing around 1000 damage at level 15… with just heal…

Cure has a similar effect that it will pelt the helm out of any mob that stands in it for a good 200 ish damage. Take note that my cleric has no int at all so with int it would be more.

Finally safety wall is broken as ■■■■. You literally take no damage from any thing and just put heals on the floor and make mobs stand in cure. If you went cleric 2 which I did, your heal cure does even more fdamage with divine might 5 meaning I have 3rd circle spells with a second circle class so my heal is doing about 300 - 400 damage… per tile…and wen those are on cool down i wack things with muh sword which does a lot of damage since i invest in str instead of int. Why? Paladin scales off str firstly and secondly to your healps do improve with str, just not as much with int It’s like… 2 less heal.

Finally, if you invest points into that armor debuff your damage improves significantly… if you’re doing about 100 damage per hit, your damage can spike up to about 180 per swing when enemies are in the unprotection zone thing, this also improves to about 250 if you have dm5. I’m kinda wishing I put more points into the debuff instead of cure. so I’m relying mostly on divine might with the debuff. bringing my debuff up to about level 6. Once I get some class levels my debuff should hit 11 with dm. Since I will no longer put points into cure and leave it at 5.

So far at least to me I’ve mostly seen Wizards, Clerics and Swordsman at 40ish Archers seem to be laging behind.

But honestly I did 25>40 with random parties. So I didn’t really feel the difference. I wouldn’t be much of use generally as a Cleric 2 but I’d AoE some mobs with Heal and Cure here and there and use safetywall in bossfights.

Leveling my cleric is pretty fun, she has tons of mana so I can spam spells left and right. Leveling my swordswoman though… Jesus. Two spells = no mana. And unlike the archer class, you have to be close to the enemies all the time, so you are constantly taking damage. Things get better once you are a Peltasta, assuming you advance your swordswoman to this class, because of the tankiness, but still.

The Swordman has low mana at first but later on(I’m 130 in the KR beta and I have 800 mana) you have plenty of mana to use quite a lot of skills since their skills are like 20-40 per skills, you have to use potions but they really don’t cost that much.

This is off-topic, but I just have to ask how and where do you level from 20 onwards. I’m stumped atm, no quests to do and can’t even grind nuf without getting broke -_-

P.S. The farthest reach I stretched was at 3F Crystal Mine

:scream: you perv! haha

what skills do you use to lv up that fast with your cleric? I tried 1 and it was really slow ( slowest of all the chars i have tried )
