[Class] Druid Class Thread

On the one hand I’m happy for a chance to turn into these things, on the other hand I can’t [shapeshift] into HG mobs even though they are normal type.

Guys,I tried Tipio as transformation for fun and its poison work on mercenary bosses .-.

Could someone try a better test with him?I don’t think I can provide a good one…something like a field or world boss.

Meh…

Oh, i do not recommend you to use BongTOS for classes that may require a bit of knowledge like druid.

Hwan Guk Woo has been uploading some test videos lately. And he is a veteran druid.

Oh, thanks for the warning ^^ I’ll watch more of his videos too heh

What are all these numbers’s meaning? In the title of the video :V I was never to get it

It means none of them F*CKING care to rename their videos and place tags. Something like druid/lycantropy/missions or SOMETHING, ghadem SOMETHING to help distinguish videos without the need to watch them 1st.

lol, yeah. Its a time stamp the video recorded on ToS get. They just drag it on youtube and call it a day.

How is the damage a joke? He clearly shows his equip and stats on his Druid videos (not that Bong guy but Hwan Guk Woo) and while he made some investments, Druid C3 still seems pretty viable even as Lycanthrop.

Stop being spoiled by the high numbers, that’s a thing of the “past”; instead, now you get to enjoy the knockdown immunity of the Lycanthrop form due to the longer battles.

So… Is Lycanthropy now pretty much used for hp boost, sprint, a little bit of AoE attacks, and free pain barrier?

I belive we will have to adapt to whatever it may get changed. Seems the SP drain may stay, so investing on SPR gonna be a must now, also note the following change: SPR gives a LOT of sp recovery now. So items like Skull Smasher would be awesome to get.

I must admit that watching videos of other classes, not being able to reduce damage to 1 even as full CON makes HP pool way more valuable than it is now. Its possible that many builds will sacrfice HP to deal damage now (because no more skill base damage), but druids will keep the very high HP they already have.

Weirdly enough, the HP boost and the free pain barrier have started to seem worth the SP drain really (free dash as bonus lol). At last survivability really seems to be relevant in game once more.

Wolf form isn’t that destructive cannon anylonger on Ktest (as it’s in live) but it’s a monstrous defensive boost nonetheless.

Regarding K-Test servers, has there been any changes regarding Hengestone + Transform / Lycan? The x2 damage/hp boost?

It doesn’t Double the damage anymore, only boosts it to 10%. The 2x HP didn’t change

Previously i posted something about “more damage to our rank 8” and stuff. Then i went to read the forum about the new damage and change my mind ‘-’

We’ll Just need to invest hardly on good gear now. And that’s it lul. With the new mechanics aparently that makes SO MUCH DIFFERENCE.

Well… Wait and see again :kissing:

Well depending on if you’re going druid 3 and your build, you won’t have to waste much on attributes. This basically leaves you with excess silver for gearing.

Edit:
Can anybody tell me if any of Druids attributes work on Lycanthropy?

I would like to know too if lycan skills are still non-strike/slash/pierce like they are now. The only tag I know that works on them is [physical] since they do half damage to ghost.

Kind of, but it’s an incredibly bad choice to make currently. Especially with how many of those features druid2 can perform as well.

And keep in mind that the mob rank reworked ton of elites and special mobs into normal, meaning ktest has a ton more transform options. (Including large insects for once) And a planned mob skill rework should also affect transform builds.

Either way when comparing druid2 vs druid3 you have to consider 3 scenarios:

  1. You use druid2 with transforms, likely for a combo of skills and attribute buffs:
  • 2 ranks cost.
  • +75% health if you use a large transformation.
  • Unknown skill dmg/modifiers, I haven’t seen any testing on the new mob stats/transform options.
  • Can gain a movement speed buff from the medium/small panto transformations. (still needs to be used next to a mob, so it’s not that super.)
  • Can gain a +250 flat crit rate from transforming into a beast.
  • Other random buffs based on size/race. (+50% hp/sp regen, +110 attack, +200 evasion, +40% def. )
  • Should have the higher dmg option for spr builds, or used to as it may have been changed, via the medium panto’s 2s cd 10 hit attack.
  1. You use druid3 for Lycanthropy, and as such do not benefit of the druid attributes:
  • Costs 3 ranks obviously.
  • +100% health from Hengestone.
  • 100% skill factor only, meaning the damage is really really low. (for reference monk1 is nearly a 500% modifier.)
  • Can just sprint when In wolf form.
  • Gains +10% Atk bonus from hengestone. Overkill nerf tbh.
  • Free pain barrier as you called it.
  • Better scaling on other druid skills.
  1. You simply pick druid3 for hengestone and use transform alongside it.
Which means you get most the benefits of option 1 (aside from the 2 ranks bit) and a bonus +100% health and +10% matk.

And to make it worse it has a stat identity crisis:

  • Spr clerics frankly have no need for druid3, it competes with their ideal r8 inquisitor (due to mm) and is matched if not outperformed by druid2 or druid2/monk in the dmg and hit departments. It has a (minor) health and utility bonus over druid2, that’s it.

  • Str clerics simply benefit far more of 1 rank of monk then lycanthropy, and again competes with the much stronger r8 option inquisitor.

  • Dex clerics could benefit from druid3, since other physical dmg skills don’t stand to benefit from the atk speed buff as much for clerics due to cooldowns or needing stamina… But that’s assuming it even works on transform/lycan skills. Plus it will still struggle with the sp drain.

  • Int clerics, in general, have issues with low modifiers atm. (Aside of chaplains, who cannot use their main dmg source alongside lycanthropy…) Int might be an option due to a lack of better alternatives, but the spr drain will still be an issue.

Ergo Lycanthropy is undesirable on an spr build, but spr is desirable on a lycantropy build. Which is far from helpfull.

Btw, would you know if that 1 medium panto still has that 0cd 10 hit skill?

No idea, I don’t have access to ktest/ktos.

There might be relevant information on it somewhere on ktest.neet.tv, but I can’t find it. (Basically, you’d need to check if its classid number or classid values have changed. Might be in a change log, but I don’t think they’re all public on that site.)
